The store is so well set up. They have the antiques and new stuff designed in such a way that you can see how cute it would be in your house, little vignettes. The colors are soft and pretty. For example if you go to the Burlington or Natick Massachusetts stores the hungry designers will almost chase you out with torches & pitchforks. I have moved a lot because I'm a hobbyist flipper and that means I'm cheap but I buy a lot. What a pleasant surprise that the staff at the Bedford New Hampshire store let me treasure hunt and find this awesome chandelier!! The logistics manager Dean showed me that its paperwork shows that it used to be a display in the old, closed down Ethan Allen that is literally over the town line on the street I live on. I guess it wanted to come home. The designer Verlie was very nice to me and didn't make me feel like a scavenger for discount shopping. The Ethan Allen company could learn a lot from this location.

I visited the new Homegoods/ TJ Maxx Store in Londonderry yesterday. Now located in the Market…read moreBasket plaza. This is a combo store- housing both a Homegoods and a TJ Maxx in the same building. The store is good sized, bright and clean and has a ton of checkout registers. Lots of nice stuff- sheets, towels, bedding, art, and so much more. I saw many staff being busy and milling about assisting customers so that is always good. I got some pet shampoo for a good price- even better than local pet stores and online!

The area that I needed to shop mostly in was in the dark. The lights were off. I was straining my eyes the entire time looking for items. Most of the merchandise was not priced or had a shelf tag. It is very unorganized and feels dirty. I was one of a few customers shopping, there were 2 women employees complaining loudly to each other over another employee and when I was trying to shop another aisle a male employee, ignoring me, acted like I was in his way as he kept his eyes down throwing merchandise on the shelves. I told the cashier I would've purchased more but I could not see and things I would've bought were not priced. She responded by saying she thinks they turn the lights on around 5:00pm and that there are so many price changes that they can't keep up with pricing products...REALLY?? I work in retail myself. If you care about your job/store and making sales, clean the place up. I will drive out of my way from now on and shop at the Rochester NH store which is CLEAN, well PRICED AND have the store lights ON with super FRIENDLY employees.
