The day of my wedding was the first time I met Yaritza, it was pouring outside and I was a wreck. She was so relaxed, patient and calm - she really cooled my nerves and assured me that the day would turn out fine. She was patient with my husband and I's family, (all the kids!) and guests commented on how non-intrusive she was. ...she's very sneaky with the camera ;) Best of all, she didn't bark out commands at anyone, which is unfortunately something I've seen wedding photographers do. I chose her based on her excellent portfolio and price - Yaritza aint no cheap lady, but when I compared her to other photographers in the surrounding area she absolutely had the best package to offer, and again, the quality of her work is truly outstanding! In addtion, Mike also generously volunteered his time to come and shoot family portraits for a hoilday gift to our foster families in the Intensive Foster Care program at YOU Inc. in 2006. Due to some problems with my limo service, the ceremony started an hour late...which made everything else start late. A large portion of the pictures I had hoped for at the church and the reception had to get cut out of the schedule, but Mike was able to get some really beautiful pictures in the time we had. During the reception, he went around with my bridesmaid to make sure I had the pictures I had wanted, and patiently waited while we gathered friends and cousins for some group shots. Jamie did the photography for a wedding I was in back in 2008, and we had so much fun working with…read morehim, that I vowed to one day hire him for my own wedding. Well, almost exactly 5 years later, Jamie did the photography at my wedding as well, and I couldn't be happier that I hired him! We started by meeting with Jamie in his studio in Framingham, where he won my (now) husband over by offering him a Sam Adams while we watched a slideshow of his work. He gave us an information packet with his various packages and rates, and we went home and picked one and officially hired him the next day. We opted to add an engagement session to our package, since it was reasonably priced and we thought the practice would be good, since we're not used to having hundreds of pictures taken of us. I knew we picked the right man for the job when, at the end of our e-session, my (then) fiance said "That wasn't as bad as I thought it would be." I know that doesn't sound like much of a compliment, but coming from a guy with the attention span of a 5 year-old, that's a pretty good compliment after spending 2 hours having his picture taken! Jamie kept it light, fun, and non-traditional, and he totally embraced our idea of incorporating our kayaks into the shoot. Leading up to the wedding, Jamie was very good about helping me plan our schedule for pictures, and made sure he knew about everything that was going to happen that day. He showed up early to scope out the venue for ideas, and then set to work shooting our amazing photos for the next 9 hours. He did such an amazing job that we're having a very hard time going through and picking our our favorites for the wedding album he is also putting together for us. Throughout our time working with Jamie, he kept a light, fun attitude, and I could tell he genuinely loves what he does. We couldn't be happier with the final product, and thanks to Jamie, we will be able to cherish these memories captured in time forever!
