In addition to our wedding- we had our engagement shoot done by them. I cannot believe how relaxed Joe & Kaylyn made us feel! From steaming our clothes to moving pieces of hair out of my face in between shots, these two REALLY are professionals. You don't just get a point + shoot. All of our photos came out too beautiful for words. For our wedding, I did not hire a 'Day of Coordinator' thinking it was a small enough wedding & the people involved all knew their duties. HA!! WAS I WRONG!! Kaylyn not only spent the entire day getting ready with me (while Joe was with the guys) but once the wedding was really rolling she was the one to keep us all in order with the timeline! I cannot thank Kaylyn enough- she literally came in & saved my wedding! Without her I'm pretty sure we would've forgotten to cut our cake.. or even throw the bouquet! LOL :) As far as how long it took for the photos to come back I was so thrilled to see teasers to keep me satified until the whole set came to us (which was not very long at all)! I have heard horror stories of people waiting more than 3 months! That was not the case here at all. Their bright, uplighting style really catches the eyes + pops. We were amazed at how quickly they turned that around, after shooting so many hours of footage the night before. When I first saw the Highlight video, I was so thrilled, I couldn't wait to share it with my husband that night! Their editing is fantastic, the music choices are original and thoughtful, the cinematography is fabulous! This will be a perfect way to remember the day for years to come! The whole Latimer crew is very friendly and easy-going. Laura knows how to interact with the subjects while she is photographing to get you to smile and look your best. Dan and Lori do the right thing by blending into the crowd while taking video. They were all very professional. Dan showed organization and dedication by scouting out the church and reception locations the day prior. The equipment is also very impressive, up-to-date and high tech (as you can see on their blog). We appreciated that Daniel was flexible about the type of media to use for sharing the video with our family - Blu-ray, DVD or web-based were options. They also make it super easy to book, tell them about the wedding plan, and pay for their services. Everything is online, even signing the contract, which was cool. Our longtime family photographer was not available, and so we scoured the local area for one for this occasion. My family is a bit selective on photography, and we heavily screen online portfolios before following up with anyone. I liked what we saw on J&S's website. Jess came to my house and was fantastic to work with, especially with little kids. She has a great personality, and has an engaging manner with little kids (a lot of experience photographing little kids). it was nice to visit her studio to review the proofs with her. I found the photo packages very reasonable with respect to the local competition, and the quality was exactly what I was looking for - natural, minimal post-processing (i.e. not a lot of fancy effects).
