Haircuts are fine. Professionalism needs improvement & a considerate demeanor when talking with customers would be nice.

I've been going to New Generation for years. Its a very chill but professional atmosphere. The minute you walk in, the guys greet you and are very attentive, amazing service all around, clean stations at all times. Every barber has talent, you can see the passion each barbers has for the trade. highly recommend to family and friends. My 5 yo son had a 'hair cut' at this place by one of the new barbers. Please see pic below. The hair looks terrible. I went back to talk to the owner to check if one of the professional barbers could fix my sons hair cut and he wasn't there. One of the employees was extremely rude. Another nice employee called the owner who was also very, very rude. I told him I understand people need to learn but I didn't appreciate the hair cut that my son had. He didn't apologize, nothing at all, he just said I don't need to tell him to to run his business. In a few minutes he showed up, never apologized or anything. He just said the barber is new. I have had the best experience bringing my son to this barbershop. They are always so kind and professional. I always feel very comfortable as a women bringing my son here. Jeff has been cutting my sons hair for the past year. He always does such an amazing job. It's such an art. He always has such great conversations with my son. The shop is worthy of a first time experience. I've been bringing my sons since shop opened. We have used several barbers, and all but one still work there. This is over years. In my opinion, all of the barbers are talented, all are professional, and all are extremely comical which makes for a fun experience. My toddler would give it 10 stars for all the lollipops he receives. ;) Very cool atmosphere. Very laid back and fun-loving. Very easy to determine once you go. I'd like to point out, Juan, fades like no other. He is reserved, mature, and gets his cuts done with precision and ease. My oldest son always looks amazing after he sees Juan. It's the small things that set this place apart from other barbershops in the area. All the barbers take free appointments that you can book online, which saves you the hassle of going and waiting hours to get a free barber. They also take card unlike most similar barbershops that are cash only. It's clean and modern on the inside, and my experience with Abner was amazing, he was attentive and checked throughout my haircut multiple times to make sure I was getting what I wanted. What a great find! Moved to the Milford area a few months ago and have been trying out different barber shops around town. Dropped in to New Gen on a MONDAY and got a great cut! No waiting. I did find out they "suggest" you call ahead, so you are pretty much guaranteed no waiting should there be a crowd. Let's face it ... where can you go on a Monday and get an awesome cut?
