I highly recommended this Barber shop. The guys at Central are Great! Very professional and very good at what they do. I realize I have recommended other Barber shops in the Milford area. I can say all are good but all are different in their own ways. So it really depends on your own likes and dislikes. Now that my son and I have found Central I plan on staying for a long time. Haircuts are top notch, prices are on par with other shops. Atmosphere is enjoyable, respectful and inclusive with plenty of seats. Back in February I was new to the area and looking for a high class barber shop, (I'm extremely picky with my hair), and I found these guys on Yelp. I sent a message through and received a response very quickly. I made an appointment and they were very accommodating to get me in as quick as possible and work around my schedule. At first I was really nervous because my barber from the Southcoast is phenomenal and I was looking for that same quality work. When I arrived I parked across the street because the parking wasn't that great (unless I just didn't know otherwise because I'm new to the area). I walked into this cozy-looking barbershop and it was decorated excellently. I enjoyed the paraphernalia on the walls - lots of cool historical pictures, sports posters and images, movie pictures, and most importantly - Star Wars decor. Onto the haircut, the barbers were really friendly and welcoming, making me feel like I was back at home. For me, a trip to the barbers is less of a haircut and more of an experience. I always love the barbers and these guys didn't miss a beat. They made conversations, they got to know me and my story and made me feel comfortable. My barber took the time to understand what kind of cut I wanted and he spent time asking me about how my hair usually is. He then dove in and began the cut. He was a nice guy and very professional. Well I tried to get a cut.11:45 am Tuesday 3 barbers two working and one guy with long hair talked for over 20 min. while I sat there. Got up after 25 min. walked out the door. I've been scouring the Milford area for a good barber for some time now. I've tried a few different places, Anthony's, the Chop Shop, etc. I passed the Central Barber shop one day and decided to give it a go. It's an awesome two man, very personal barber shop. The shaves are the best I've had in the area. I've also started going there for my haircuts too. It's a clean, well run, professional business. The prices are very reasonable for the attention to detail Lou and Josh provide. I used to have my haircuts at the larger chains and salons in the area. I'm settling down with these guys because of the quality of their work, customer service and personal approach. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these guys to anyone. read more

These guys are the best barbers around I live all the way in Millis and drive here to get my haircut or the work, the environment, and the people. To top it all off I went there to get my haircut and beard trimmed, and had left my debit card behind. I had prior told them I would be posting to FB & IG for gratitude and promoting a great business. Making a barber shop choice as a guy is usually a really difficult process. Yelp helped me choose the right one, and I'm returning the favor by posting another positive review. Checked out The Central Barber Shop today after looking for a place closer to where I live. Was really impressed with the hair cut I got and the way I was helped being a "newbie" at a new barber shop. Lou did a great job, introduced the shop, and walked me through my hair cut (my first real "styled" cut in about 10 years). Atmosphere is very "man cave" which is great. Music choice is superb, A/C cold and pricing is very reasonable. They have gained my business and hopefully this helps some other people search for a barber shop. read more

Based on all the rave reviews I stopped in for a cut. I am from out of state and had some time until my hotel room was ready so I decided to check off a to-do for this weekend. It wasn't too busy on a Wednesday afternoon and I was pleased to sit in Lou's chair. He seemed to be the defacto guy in charge. He turns the chair throughout the cut and you never get to see the progress until you're done. That takes some getting used to. Can't imagine being turned around at the end and being startled. The cut was good, the tunes were fine, and the cut was $2 less than I pay at home in NJ. Thanks to everyone who left a good review. You helped me make the decision and I like my cut. The Central Barber Shop is staffed by a talented crew of barbers who are skilled in their craft and take pride in their work. I first stopped in for a cut while in town on business. Lou took such great care of me that visit, that the next time I had to travel to Milford, I intentionally skipped my local barber leading up to that trip. I took my 3-year old grandson to The Central Barbershop for a haircut. Lou took care of him and did a great job. He instantly put my grandson at ease, and, by the time, he was finished, my grandson not only had an awesome hair cut, he also had learned about the sport of long jumping. Went to Central Barber shop today for the first time. After trying the Chop Shop just down the street two times, this place was a welcomed find! As soon as I sat down the chair with Lou, he made me feel right at home. I cracked a few jokes about my thinning hair, and he put me right at ease and suggested a short cut that blended my thinning areas very well. He was a class act, and I couldn't have left happier! When I came home my wife complimented how great my cut looked, and let's be honest, as long as she's happy, I'm happy. I'll keep coming back to Central Barber Shop as long as I have hair on my head. TOP NOTCH! My brother suggested I go here over The Chop Shop, no reason, just the place he goes. I was hesitant because I always go to upscale salons. I decided to man up and go to a barber shop. Boy, am I glad I took a leap. I should have been going to a barber all my life. Great haircut, beard trim, razored my hair lines, etc. Love the small, old town feel. I have been to central a few times and had cuts from Chris and Josh. Thus place is great its only four stars because they don't take cards but that's a usual thing for a barbershop. Chris did a good job but his lines were just a little off, Josh cut my hair perfect. The guys there are great everyone's cracking jokes and having a good time they all pay attention to detail. Worst haircut I have ever gotten, I asked for a skin fade on the sides which he hadn't done and just left them long, second I asked to have volume and he flattened it with pomade, third he cut it short on the top front and left it long on the top back. These guys obviously have no idea what they are doing get a better cut somewhere else. read more
