This stuff was thorny and all overgrown. I worked on it myself for two hours prior and said never again. They arrived on time, got the job done quickly and the communication was great. The creek is flowing again! I'm so glad I found this company. I had left messages for several other companies to get a quote who did not return my call. Covid or not, at least return a call to say you're not accepting work. Ezra immediately called and sent someone out to look at the site. I was told that his crew was a little backed up but that someone would contact me a few weeks later when they would be available. After having no luck with all of the other companies failing to even return my call, I was doubtful that anyone would follow-up. Unfortunately, the service was poor from their crews on all but 1 of 7 weeks they cut our lawn- they left gates open/unlatched, regularly scalped portions of the lawn, ran over the newspaper with the mower and didn't pick up, etc. The last time they mowed, they scalped the lawn so badly I called the owner to inspect the job. He never showed up and did not call to let me know there was an issue getting there. He didn't have an issue calling to collect payment. Admittedly, i did owe them for 2 cuttings- one of which was the one that was done so poorly and i asked them to come look at- which I refused to pay (and told them why). I did pay the other one i owed them for, which I thought I had already paid, but had not. I'll own that oversight. 2 stars because i think they are nice people.

Coulter Berry made an appointment in 2 days and did a complete job. After taking tree down, him and his coworker hauled off all the limbs and trunk and did a complete cleanup of yard in one day. Joe at Earthworks was the first to respond. I had four outfits visit the job site and provide quotes. Joe's quote came in right in the middle of the pack, and he could schedule me the next week. And he very much seemed to be on the same page for what I was trying to accomplish. He and his crew just departed. They showed up on time, and took the time estimated. They were very careful around my landscaping, and did a great job of the tree work. They have completely cleaned up and left my yard in great shape. My front garden now will get the light it needs, and bigger than that, I now have a year round view of the Blue Ridge from my front porch.
