You'll get treatment you'll never forget. I went in on Friday to get my child's blood work done. I came early (5pm) as the numbing cream needed time. Walk-in was to start at 5:30pm.I was paged on my phone at 5:28 pm. I went in and went to the desk. I waited until I was acknowledged by the man in the dark green shirt. He was at the counter (no one at the desk). I explained I had been paged but needed some extra time for the numbing cream to work. He did not give any eye contact, shrugged his shoulders and was arrogant and passive aggressive in his replies. I politely asked for more time for the numbing cream to work. He shrugged his shoulders. He started getting red in the face, his body was shaking and he was shuffling papers. He got angrier and more agitated the more I asked questions, like "does the numbing cream still work if it has not been on the required time?" He said, "How do I know?" and "I don't know anything about numbing cream." Calmly, I told him I would return to the lobby where I was instructed to wait, and waited longer. No one came and got me for my bloodwork. A female patient leaving the office, came to get me. The staff and the other lady at the desk that the manager was with a patient, then that there was no manager. While I was in the lobby, the lady staff member came out with a lady not in scrubs. This might have been the manager. I took my children to the lobby to wait for our ride. I didn't see the man from the lab come down the elevator so he must have taken an other route. He sat in the lobby, texting on his phone. As he left, I told him his behaiour was unacceptable.' I have worked with problematic behaviour as a career, lol. He yelled back, "I am not working right now so I don't have to be nice to you" as he came close to us as he was exiting by the front doors. My daughter was frightened. We came to the mall to use the playplace and were going to go shopping after the kids played and got rid of some energy but because of this we will never go this mall again. Also couldn't believe the people running the "customer service" station directly outside the closed off play area. The staff seemed to only care about their phones while we were trying to check in to the ridiculous app. Not sure who's brilliant idea this play area waiting app was but it's having the opposite effect that they were after I'm sure. If I add the cost of gas and the meal, it is definitely not worth it. The Deerfoot City Lodge is quite nice and open. There is a kid play area. Lots of seating and tables. They also have special events here and there. It is not a bad mall. Only issue is the parking. I guess you can bus or train here. But if you are shopping at Walmart as well then it is definitely a bad idea. Seems like there is a second section of the Lodge. Hopefully it opens soon. Looking forward to the food options.

There's currently only Opa, Chronic Tacos, a pasta place and maybe one other. Signs are up for a Poke place coming soon. Basically, just like every other BB&B, it's bright, stocked to the gills and filled with virtually everything conceivable that is homewares, linen, kitchen gadgets and so much more. I really can't comment too much on it, since it's the same at every one no matter where you go across North America (though I'm still looking for Christopher Walken to give me a magic remote control just like in the movie Click). I like going here from time to time, mostly to see what other type of gadget and tool is there to be had for my use, whether it be making industrial amounts of french fries to being able to make foie gras, halibut and bacon ice cream with their nuclear powered ice cream maker and automated car engine tuner. As for what's in the Beyooooonnndddd (echo echo echo), well, toys, discounted movies, candy and so on. While not exactly a great selection, the toys they do have are actually pretty tasteful and not the usual schlock stuff but something more high end (presently all kinds of Discovery Channel Kids science stuff, and I remember them selling kid versions of Night Vision goggles once or twice). Oh, and I do love the free demos of the coffee machines. While I own a Keurig myself, I find it so neat that I get ot have a ton of samples from the Nespresso and other machines, though they do get a little cross if you do try more than one...or six (sheepish look). Needless to say, I usually leave the BB&B pretty darn wired! Basically, this is a place I wouldn't visit often, but would be a place I would go to if I was doing a house or wedding registry and such.
