The first Thursday of each month for $25 you and a group of people can get together and probably learn 100% more about fencing that you've ever known. The class that I attended ran from 5 until 7 and there were 8 people. Coach Mal-sun is the owner of the facility and she is nationally ranked #1 for fencing! So you get to learn from the best. This is how it goes - you arrive, get fitted for the uniform, have a short overview of fencing and then run through a number of drills. The class ends after each pair has an actual competition. I really enjoyed myself and found that it takes some fancy footwork (but not too difficult) and solid concentration. They have regular classes for kids and adults but I found the 1 time opportunity to be really awesome. She broke things down in a way that made sense and helped me feel more confident every step of the way. Major props to my in-car driving instructor, Tyler B. -- hands down one of the best teachers I've had for anything. He kept things real, was super funny and kind, and gave me the best driving techniques, like the 3-line method that helped me kill it on the road and especially with parking. Tyler made learning to drive way less stressful and way more chill, and I'm really grateful for his guidance. Communication and scheduling were smooth, and the school even let me use one of their cars for the DMV test, which made the whole process that much easier. They were well prepared for the tests and the final in-town DMV tests were very convenient! The classes are numbered 1-16 and the students can complete them in whatever order they want. Online classes are offered regularly (two session times every day) and neither of my kids had a problem finding a class. (Neither one had to wait more than a few days for the class they needed to complete the program.) We've had very good experiences.

They offer a variety of art classes from drawing, to basket weaving, to painting, etc. It is a little hard to find on the street since if you walk past the door you might miss the entrance to the second floor. Otherwise, next time I am in the area I will drop by for some art lessons.
