The facilities all over campus are well kept and beautiful. The staff and teachers are always helpful if you need anything. Brock Hall is beautiful with the high ceilings and grand piano on center stage. Samford has many different areas to study. While many study liberal arts such as music, I graduated with my doctorate of pharmacy degree. Samford also hosts many events so come visit when you can.

Despite great professors and decent academics, Samford is a dumpster fire. They have admitted way…read moretoo many students to the point that simply walking from one building to another as become a free-for-all where everyone has to push and shove past each other. Additionally, there no longer seems to much standards of who they accept into the college. No ACT or SAT scores are needed, and not even a minimum GPA is required. As a result, recent years have seen a drastic increase in students who are not prepared for college and many who have not yet outgrown their high school mentality. In short, Samford has chosen quantity over quality. They are currently far more concerned with making money than they are with the well-being of their students, faculty, and academics. I do not recommend this university at this time.

I attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham for my Masters degree in the early 2010s. I have nothing but good things to say about the education I received, the interactions with faculty members (which later led to me securing a full time position post graduation), as well as all of the co-curricular opportunities I was involved with/had offered to me. Yes, parking could be improved on any urban college campus, so I don't think that's necessarily a deal breaker. Thank you for my education and the opportunities that were afforded to me post graduation!

CHEATERS BEWARE! I…read morechose this location for my NCPRSS exam as it was close to home. I arrived early, as instructed. Two ladies were right inside the door and provided a parking permit, which I promptly put in the dash of my vehicle. Once back inside, they requested my driver's license and another form of ID (which cannot be a social security card). They will then give you a sheet of information about the testing process. Be sure to read this information as it's important. They'll then provide you with a paper getting your permission for the testing to be recorded. You'll then need to put any belongings in a locker. In addition to my purse and phone, I had to remove all jewelry. They will allow you to keep your wedding ring on, however, if you wear one. They will then do a bit of a search. They have you put your arms out, pull your pockets out, sit down, and pull your pant legs up, etc. They are very thorough in ensuring that you're not sneaking any aids for testing in. The ladies there are very professional and ensure the integrity of the testing process remains high. For my exam, I got the results right away. However, I'm not sure if that's the case for all exams. This process was very smooth and easy.
