I have seen him for the last 11 years since I had the surgery and he makes sure to supply knowledge and offer counseling through their office if needed. He rotated periodically through the physicians office that I worked in. I came to not only like him personally, but to also respect his professionally. The physicians that I worked for regarded him so highly that they wanted him to change his specialty from internal medicine to cardiology and then join their practice. I think that speaks volumes about Dr. Wells and his abilities. Dr. Wells did choose to remain with internal medicine and opened his own private practice with Dr. Uhall. I immediately became a patient of his and had both of my parents switch their care over to him because of my faith in him. He took care of both of my parents until their passing, He was a tremendous source of strength to me in helping me with their care. I was deeply saddened when he chose to leave private practice because it is almost impossible to find a physician of his caliber anymore. When I was trying to make a decision on which local bariatric program to choose for my care, I discovered that Dr. Wells had recently accepted the position as the Medical Director of the Summa program. I knew immediately that my search was over. I knew I would receive no finer care in any other program than I would by Dr. Wells. Dr. Wells never let me down on his care in the bariatric program. I will always highly recommend Dr. Wells to everyone. He is a good and decent man and an excellent physician. My only concern for Dr. Wells is, that I noticed over time, that they were making his schedule increasingly busy and difficult for him to be able to spend the kind of time that he wanted to with each patient. Dr. Wells knows that each patient requires individual care and time and he wants to be able to give that to each patient. This is not his fault, but I have no doubt that he continues to do the best possible job he can given what he has to work with. I will always be one of Dr. Wells' biggest fans!

She put me on the same medication that I told her made my sister's illness far worse, and I proceeded to fall in the worst depressive episode of my life after she insisted/ pressured I take it. Never felt listened to. Never referred to a single note, she "took", and made me reexplain everything always. Not knowledgable a ton on different types of illnesses and medication interactions. I can't speak for the other psychiatrists, but DO NOT GO TO HER! She serious made me feel so much worse and constantly invalidated. She seriously held me back from my potential, and is simply not qualified.

I recently just started paying for my own insurance through the health insurance market place. Not…read moreknowing a lot about the health insurance world I chose a plan that had a decent yearly individual deductible. My plan is almost $400 a month. Having just moved to Ohio I needed a new Doctor for mental health purposes. The young lady that answered the phone could not have made me feel more like I had the plague once I mentioned I had Molina Health insurance, she indicated this was Medicaid and they don't take Medicaid. I said, I don't have Medicaid, I pay out of pocket every month for my insurance. Very degradingly she said "Molina is considered Medicaid" we do not take it". Oooof the anxiety the response gave me. So I asked if I could be a self pay patient, as I just need to see a doctor to get my mental health under control. She said we can't do self pay if you have Medicaid. I said I don't have Medicaid I have Molina. LordT if I could have only known that I would be treated like a leper I would have never mentioned my insurance plan. I really wish people were nicer in the office and realize that there are REAL people suffering from mental health problems. Being kind really goes a long way, you never know how your tone or inflection can trigger someone's mental health.

First off, they do not offer paid studies which is a bit disappointing if you're like me & live over 45 minutes away. However, if you're looking to keep your struggles private; you can easily do so at this center as it is located within a larger building housing many other businesses. At first appearances, it looks like a spa. The staff here is friendly and scheduling/cancelling an appointment is easy & convenient (you can make arrangements through text). Yet when I went into the room for my physical exam, it was dirty. There was trash on the floor, stains on the walls and the lighting was very dim. The hallways are littered with a variety of machines and makes navigating through the facility annoying because of the clutter. But I will say that they are conducting multiple studies and very clearly explain what they are & what they hope to achieve & how you can help yourself & contribute to advances in mental health as well. If you decide to participate in a study there is no pressure to do so. You can even change your mind later on & leave the study group. Due to my inability to swallow pills, I could not participate in the original study I had signed up for. But the staff really do go above & beyond, they found another program I could take advantage of. I will post an update as time goes on so that I can provide you with a better idea of what happens in clinical studies if you're new to trying this.
