The second she saw me, she sat me down, listened attentively and compassionately to my hair journey, and used our first thirty minutes just comforting me before even pulling out the scissors. She spent the entire session learning about my curl routine and educating throughout to help me get to my curl goals. I told her I was really hoping to grow my hair back out, and she was so attentive and never cut a strand or curl without asking for permission/giving reasoning why the cut would be beneficial first. I have truly never felt more cared for in a haircut session and it was truly a corrective experience! By the end of the cut, I was so happy that she was able to maintain my length while also giving me the volume I was looking for! Sarah went above and beyond for me. Not only did she spend 30 minutes listening attentively BEFORE the haircut even began, she followed up on multiple occasions, sending personalized Christmas cards and not only remembered me 6 months later, but remembered details of my story. She truly has a talent of giving you her full attention and making you feel special and more yourself by the end of every haircut. I have grown up with curly hair my whole life but it wasn't until I started seeing Sarah that I truly learned how to manage and maintain my curls in a healthy way! She has helped me so much in not just my curly hair journey, but also my hair growth journey as well. I cannot say enough about how amazing Sarah is! I wish I could give her 10 stars! My second expierence was coming in for a manicure and the person could not do french tips, I have never encountered that before because it seems like a very basic "design". My third and final experience was recently when I was given a gift card for a mani/pedi/massage and I was not interested in the massage as I do not like them, but it was a gift, so I asked if I could use the remainer of the balance after covering the mani/pedi on a different service and they said no. So that is why I am leaving this review because that is poor customer service. I have not left a bad review prior even with my bad experiences because the staff has always been SO nice. But this time it was not a great experience due to customer service. Additionally, my GEL manicure started chipping in TWO days, whereas I have gone other places where it has lasted me 4 weeks. So I believe they are either not training their staff well, or they don't use quality products. Which for how expensive it is there, they should be doing both of those things. I would not recommend going here, unless you are in a pinch. Still leaving two stars because the girls who have given my services have been very nice and I think that is worth mentioning.

I have gotten rashes on my underarms after being waxed, so it may not be ideal for those with sensitive skin (though no issue when getting a brazilian); the aesthetician is pleasant and does quick work. Lindsey gave me a pedicure and she is lovely; though I wish they had a larger selection of polishes to choose from. All in all, Serenity is a great spot to go and pamper yourself; with an expansive amount of services offered, it's a one stop shop. Staff is incredibly friendly and I like that they have a little drink bar and boutique mixed in with everything. However, be warned: you will drop some pretty pennies here, as it is a very pricey place, especially given the cost of living in the Saginaw area. I wandered around for far too long trying to locate specific items and then tried to color match myself. I thought maybe they were short staffed but then noticed whenever the employees walked by, they asked every single other customer if they needed help with anything. I made eye contact with a couple of employees but they simply kept walking like they were on a mission. I have no issue with asking for help, but every time I went to approach someone they were chatting or making a bee line elsewhere. I have never had an experience like this at this location before but it was frustrating enough that I walked out without buying anything and will take my time and money to a more deserving company that treats their customers feel welcome.
