Best thrift location in all of Santa Maria ! ‍‍ About 98% of their staff is kind, helpful, and hard working. Esp an older tan lady that puts extra effort to organize the doll section! Prices are fair except for some dresses that are greater than $8.00 Floors are clean Shopping carts(limited) available, but I feel they are too big for their small ails . Ails well organized by category! Quality of clothing is great. Lets you try on clothing over your clothes. This place is in a shopping center so plenty of parking. This place has so much stuff and it is well organized. The isles are really tight so hard to pass anyone if you have a cart. People. Pay attention. This is a thrift store, not charity. Their prices are scandalous. I suggest donating to the Achievement House thrift store. A store that their management sell things realistic prices. The whole point of donating is for your money to go to charities. There's nothing cheap about this place. I have been going to thrift stores my whole life. This is the best one I have ever been at. Being retired, I supplement my income by reselling on eBay. I pretty much go there every day, and the amount of cool stuff they get each day is incredible. Believe they sell about 3,000 items a day, and need to restock constantly. Also the people who work there are the absolute nicest. Extremely friendly, and many of them know my name. Very hard working crew too. They are always doing something. I could list the great employees by name, but am afraid I would leave someone out. This is the only thrift store I go to. read more

I noticed their prices have risen, don't know why but they use to be a good thrift store with good but fair prices. No longer. I haven't been there in a long while, and am reluctant to return. Use to take many items to them, and we are really careful to only donate items in good repair, no rips, tears, bleach marks, etc. I'm sure they still get people to buy things, but there are other thrift stores that have better prices and are more friendly. Normally my family and I really loved going to this thrift store and seven times out of ten normally find stuff. The Pricing is alright...but needs major improvement. Sometimes I wonder if the people running it thinks it's a normal retail store. The other issues is there rules if a price tag is not on a item it goes back to get retagged, I won't lie its border line annoying considering other theory stores around this one make deals when your at check out just so the product of choice can get gone. Today when me and my wife were they're we were going to buy this bag and we were at check out but they couldn't sell it to use, even tho the ragtag was inside the bag but because the tag was not stapled to the bag. We understood that but my mom was trying to tell these "ladies" that and one when trying to get loud with my life, it was very, very unprofessional behavior and nasty behavior. I can't even begin to say how many times these people screw up the prices when trying to attach it to the products. This thrift store really needs to find the write type of workers that are people oriented and not savage acting type. My family and I will continue to go regardless on how this store runs its self. I know for sure I'll keep my experiences updated on here So new update here, I visited new image and can't Help but to notice there pricing and it compares to a retail store like Target or Walmart 60 dollars for shoes or a dresser for 149.00 I mean come one we're is the thrift in that? The employees are rude I was trying to help and she did not hear me after I said it a few times that I was trying to get the hangers off for them. New Image is my favorite thrift store locally! The staff is very friendly and I have even gotten to know the sweetest sales associate, named Gloria (because I am in there way too much ). The store is very clean, super organized and very reasonable on their prices. They offer discounts on different days too! I once needed a daybed and just happened to ask the manager if they might have one and she went in the back and found one that had just came in. So helpful! If you are looking for anything, go here first, they probably will have it!!! read more

The customer service has recently went down, while the cost of used goods have skyrocketed ! the employees used to be kind and courteous welcoming you right when you walked in. Now they just look through you and ask you to move ( rudely rolling their eyes. ) when it's time to sweep the aisles that are single file at the most busiest, which might be an inconvenient time? Maybe it's good for quality control? If that's the reasoning which is a good one probably should brush up on common courtesy and the importance of being nice and approachable. read more

WooHoo! This place RULES! I went shopping here while my husband was at a conference and I went CRAZY! 95% of the clothing here is $.65. $.65! Now some of it is junk, but for someone like me who LOVES to dig through racks of clothes this place gave me several gems! I got a brand new pair of NEVER WORN Banana Republic pants (originally $75) for $.65! And cute Sailor Pants with original tags for $.65! And about 15 tops and skirts in GREAT condition for, you guessed it, $.65! DISCLAIMER: YOU WILL HAVE TO DIG! This place is pretty big, and I spent about two hours here, not everything is in great condition. But keep looking and you will find some GREAT stuff! I am already planning another shopping weekend (I live about 2 1/2 hours away) with some of my other thrifty girlfriends just to come back to this store. Come and dig in for your clothing treasures! I was on vacation from so. CA and stopped at this thrift store due to the reviews. The store is a great size, filled with house wares, clothing, purses, toys, games, tech ware, books, cd's, dvd's, etc. All items are categorized and at good prices. My favorite was the vintage small items (great for my antique business.) In comparison to where I live, this store is better than most. Prices are way too high and staff is rude. If something doesn't have a price on it they will NOT sell it to you. I recently bought a vintage snowsuit there and it was almost $30 after tax. Don't get me wrong, it was absolutely worth the money but there's no reason a thrift store should be selling a piece of clothing for that much. Sometimes I'll get lucky and find vintage Pyrex or vintage toys/collectibles so if you're into that then I'd check this place out regardless. read more

I like this place, prices aren't bad. I see some complaints about the untagged items not being sold until re-tagged.....they do that so people that don't like the price won't just tear off a tag and try and get it for a nickel. If you pick it up and it doesn't have a tag, why would you bother to take it to the counter and be "annoyed"? Because you took the tag off? Anyway, most thrift stores are related to drug rehab, I assume these guys are in or were in rehab, give them a break, they're just like you or I. Tried to drop off some items at 11 am not one car in front or back of me employee told me my "car was facing the wrong way" and that in order to drop off two boxes I would have to have my car facing the other direction.Just a moron.He demanded that I do it so I did.Looking back I should have just thrown it on the ground and drove away.Your business survives off donations and I understand dealing with the public is stressful some times but this was just lame..taking my donations elsewhere from now on. read more

Extremely OVERPRICED and god knows if theres not a price on something small they can't just put a price on it like most thrift stores you have to wait a day and im sure its because they want to make sure that they need to look up everything to make sure they can charge you the highest they can even though everything is donated!! But what do you expect this is privately owned so the owner needs to fill his pockets before giving a small percentage of sales to whatever organization they back. They are charging tax so its privately owned. So im sure someone has a nice house and expensive car from sales from this thrift store. read more

One of my favorite central coast thrift stores. Nice selection of everything, including lots of little items other stores don't have - like jewelry, sports items, even pet toys and supplies. Prices are good, I rarely find an item that I think is just too expensive for used, with the exception of some of the older, vintage or antique items they keep in a glass case. My only complaint is the number of times I have tried to buy something and was told I couldn't because it didn't have a price tag on it. For some reason they can't give me a price or find anyone who can give me a price, so the item is just not purchasable. Overall, good thrift store to hit regularly read more

This is a very good sized thrift shop. There are a lot of sections to examine. I found a couple of things to buy, but it bears pointing out that (like in a lot of thrift shops) you can barely get through the aisles if someone is standing in them, and forget about looking at the same part of a rack as someone else. There is just not enough room. So plan to spend a lot of time waiting to get to something that you want to look at, or go at an off-off-time. I was with someone who collects staplers and he was so excited about finding a vintage one here - but they didn't let him have it because it was not priced. Some places will call you when they price it but there was no offer of that here. The place is so big and has so much traffic that they are impersonal. Also I had found a vintage sheet and I hadn't folded it back up perfectly when I took it to the register and they unfolded it and looked through the whole thing like I was hiding something inside to steal. *Sigh* The checkout counter is set up so that a second cashier faces the parking lot, and instead of taking the next person in line when it got crowded, they allowed people who were "in the know" and had walked all the way around to that cashier to take cuts in front of the rest of us patiently waiting in line. It makes you want to just hit the small thrift shops in town and forget about this big one. read more

My favorite place ever...wush it was closer..friendly people great prices..always leave with a car load

Arrived for donation around 4:30 and they said they couldn't take it all. They kept making excuses like, "we don't have enough time" "we don't have enough room" and even when we offered to help get everything inside they told us we weren't allowed. The one worker that helped us mainly just stood around waiting for someone to hand him something, when he should have been busting his ass and doing what he signed up for. The workers there were just lazy asses not wanting to do their job. read more

I come to this thriftstore about once a week , it's one of my favorite spots . I have been going to this thrift store for about a year , and have been nothing but satisfied. In the past couple of months my mind has changed other wise , and it pushed me to write this review . The pricing at this thrift store used to be amazing $.65-$1.00 for almost all the clothing!!!! Not recently , I've been going in and most clothing items are marked $3.00-$10.00. Which is a bummer!!!! Also my boyfriend found a t shirt he adored , but they wouldn't sell it to him because it wasn't priced . This has been happening more and more with this thrift store , definitely think you should find an alternative way to go about situations like this . I mean she really could've thrown the t shirt in there I mean we did spend over $50!!! Simple things like that keep the customers happy and returning . Some of the older women that work here are EXTREMELY rude to customers and other employees I have noticed . But there's also a lot of nice helpful employees. A lot of good baby clothes , jeans , DVDs , toys , and dresses . I love how jeans and dresses are labeled by size , makes browsing easier . They recently moved around the clothing racks making isles much larger/ easier to move through. NO DRESSING ROOMS MEGA BUMMER!!! I am a disney collector , never really find any disney items . But every time I do come in I find at least one item I fall in love with . read more
