As God is my Witness Faith City is the most uplifting spiritual church I'd ever been to. There is a very good bass player, he's very very kind. Met him in the parking lot one Sunday. It's such a welcoming place where everyone genuinely cares for one another, and you can really feel the spirit moving. What I love most is how they tackle spiritual warfare. The members here are true prayer warriors, always ready to stand strong against anything the enemy throws our way. The teachings really make you think and help you understand God's word in a way that truly transforms your heart. Our pastor is anointed and has prayed for my family many times. I've often seen those prayers answered, which has been such a blessing. It's clear he has a special connection with God, and his passion for helping others grow in their faith is contagious. I must say Houston is known fur their Large Scale Churches which includes Lakewood Church. If Lakewood was an Asian church this would fit the bill. This church like Lakewood really big and can fit a lot of people. I like how there are plenty of seats available. There may not be a lot better of rows like Lakewood but I had no trouble finding a seat. For years, I've been having good relationships with Asian churches and I must declare the service here are really good. I had no trouble hearing the sermon. They are really motivating and clear. Meta Community is for the adult and working professional (equivalent to Sunday School for grown-ups), and there are yearly retreats for youth, men, or adult groups. The church caters to primarly the West side of Houston, but folks from all around the city join. Baptism classes are scheduled every few weeks and me and my best buddy Allen were baptized by Pastor David Hsu. We recently had a huge event in our mosque with almost 30,000 visitors. The folks at life path were so incredibly nice. They lent us their field and parking lots, and they greeted us every morning with blessings, kind words, and bottles of water. If I may be so bold, they are Christians in the truest sense of the word, displaying tolerance, love, and kindness to their brothers and sisters. I was frankly a bit worried about the reception 30,000 Muslims would receive, but I was moved to hopeful tears by the folks at life path. May God bless them and keep them safe. Amen.

Access is probably the closest thing to which I'm looking for: a chill church of young somethings…read more-- professionals, families, college students -- who gather in this funky warehouse in our jeans, shorts, and come-what-may outfits to worship. Now the interesting thing for me about this church, other than being able to dress however I please, is that they are HUGE about small groups and local outreach. This speaks volumes to me that this church is not about putting money in a collection tin, showing up on Sunday, and singing a few hymns to call themselves good for the week. This is a community of people who are actively seeking to grow spiritually and reflect love in the good deeds they try to do for other people. It's freakin' hard to find this church though. Turn north on Bingle Road. Turn left on Memorial Park Drive. (You should start seeing white posters with red "@" stuck everywhere into the grass.) Turn right into that parking lot that you immediately see. Also, despite what the posters say, do not freak out. Worship starts at 10, like stated on the website. Specifically for April 2012, they are having a Good Friday / Tenebrae service from 7-8pm. They would like you to come early by 6:45 so you can prepare yourself to quiet down out of respect for the service. Easter Sunday will be from 10-11:45am.

There are two services on Sunday- 9:15 AM or 11 AM. Super things about Access: 1. There's a room dedicated especially for the use of nursing mothers. This is a GIANT plus in my book. 2. There's several ways to get connected within the church. 3. There are kids programs. 4. There's lots of community outreach opportunities. 5. The pastors are awesome!
