It was still one of the nicest things that's ever happened to me in a shop. Good one Ken! Apart from random acts of kindness, this is the place to go for anything camera-related. They stock a wide range of gear, (including studio equipment) and seem to always be a little bit cheaper than other places around. They also sell second hand gear on behalf, and also repair film cameras (not digital ones, although they can clean the sensor for you). I've actually had the same camera for about 18 years, so I'm not really their target market, but if you're upgrading or getting your first camera, I encourage you to go here and talk to people who know of what they speak. Finally, if you are in need of Lomo and the like, you can get that here too. All this and free tomatoes!

It's a photographer's dreamland. It's great for the amateur photographer too as they have a wide range of cheap cameras to the very, very high end of the scale for the more professional people. The staff are super helpful and know so much about cameras. It's a great place to go if you're looking for a camera but don't know where to start. They'll help you figure out exactly what you need and the kinds of cameras you should be looking at. I'd definitely pop in there if you're into photography, or even if you aren't it might inspire you to start having a go at it.

Which is what I want when I only have a limited amount of time. They also do passport photo printing and again this is a handy location if you need photos as soon as possible. They do printing from both film and digital cameras which many places don't do nowadays. It's great for all you lomography lovers out there who have embraced the awesome art of film photography. But again, the quality may be a bit iffy so just be wary of this. You can pick up cameras there as well for a decent price.

After payment, I was informed that the product was not available and offered a cheaper and lesser quality product that was clearly not even close to a fair replacement. All my attempts in finding a reasonable outcome for their mistake and failure to deliver as promised has met a brick wall. Apart from sending through a link to their online-shopping-policy which they believe trumps any Fair Trading or Consumer Act obligations - they are not returning emails and still have my money.

There are four - three indoors and a garden studio outside which is probably my favourite. It's just three walls outside, but I don't know where else you can hire a studio like that in Auckland. The prices are a little high, just like every studio in Auckland. You should expect to be forking out a bit of money to hire expensive equipment anyway. The people are really helpful and friendly and the environment there is nice. They always remember me and say hi to me even though I only go in a couple of times a year.

This team is always willing to make you a coffee and talk about your next job and help cater rental gear accordingly. I'm always learning when i'm there and enjoy their chats/coffee to the point that I am often nicely asked to leave :p. Probably a good thing.
