We absolutely love this gallery, and the gallery owners Valerie and Gary Tibbets. An accidental…read morediscovery (much nicer and more welcoming than many other galleries I visited that first weekend), led to several purchases over the past three years. I happened to spot their sign on the corner as we passed by one day. The gallery has Oils, glass sculptures, jewelry, fine pottery, hand painted wraps and much more. Our travels to Albuquerque, NM always include a stop at Weyrich. Tip: check to see when their next artist opening is so you can meet and see new exhibits - even if you're not in town. I actually bought a piece after seeing it posted on FB during the opening. Weyrich will pack and ship items to you. Once the pandemic is more reduced, we hope to participate in one of their Japanese menu offerings.

There are landscapes that draw you in... and abstract paintings that make you look again and again from across the room (the current show just opened in August 2021). Ceramic plates, hardwood wooden boxes and tiny bowls lead you to imagine a silent meal or a tea ceremony. Everything is modestly-priced. My favorites today? Two woodcut limited-edition prints of New Mexico mountain scenes by the masterful Mary Sweet from her Mt. Taylor series. Her intention is clear: putting us on the trail with a reverence for Nature oft' forgotten in the office.
