This has been a wonderful experience! The class was everything... Camille was an amazing experience! She is a force! Please make sure you have this experience in NOLA ... 3 Drinks and tons of fun!

We had the best time with our Bachelorette party! Camille is an absolute STAR and she is so knowledgeable, fun, and entertaining! We were greeted with a signature cocktail upon arrival & learned to make a Sazerac & Hurricane from scratch. We definitely recommend this & we will be back!

What a fun event. Upstairs of the bar the host a cocktail/bartender class. Highly recommended. Fun event with an interesting spin on the history of booze in New Orleans

While exploring our options at New Orleans for a 3-day trip, my girlfriend decided to dedicate one afternoon to the New Orleans Drink Lab. We had no idea about how to make any mixed drinks; the opportunity to not just learn the basics but also experience part of the New Orlean's drinking culture was quite exciting. With high expectations, we arrived at the Drink Lab on a pedal bike ready to get buzzed with our own creation. The drink lab is on the second floor of the Victory bar, whose owner Daniel is the instructor for our mixology class. The victory bar is amazing in itself but that is for another review. Upon entering the lab, we were immediately impressed by the decor. Similiar to feeling smarter by simply being at an ivy league school campus, the drink lab instantly made me feel like a champion mixologist. All the tools and equipment orderly laid on the counter ready to do magic. After a few glaases of champagne and a few plates of delicious Jambalaya rice to set the mood, Daniel the instructor started the class. Too much detail might ruin the fun, but we were able to make three drinks: 1) Sazerac Rye, 2) Ramos Gin Fizz, and 3) Hurricane. My finished products were amazing, I loved all three drinks so much I finished them all. Daniel's teaching style is a comedy show in itself: he told interesting stories about the drinks he was teaching and joked around with his students the entire time. His style makes the whole experience enjoyable even for people who aren't into drinks. At the end of the class, not only did I have a ton of fun hanging out with Daniel, I walked out having discovered three delicious drinks and learned how to make them. It was truely an awesome experience. I am from Vegas. One may question why I would choose to expose myself to the craft of mixology in New Orleans, when I can learn from the city where part of its sin is made up by fancy cocktails and talented Bartenders. The answer is a simple one: Vegas has no Daniel.

Do yourself a favor & take a break from Bourbon Street to explore & learn the art of craft cocktails. The Classic New Orleans cocktail class was amazing! You learn the mechanics of the drink & a little NOLA history. Cost includes a welcome beverage & lunch. Daniel, the instructor, makes the class super fun! The class is well worth the price of admission! Would definitely return for another class.

Came here yesterday with a couple of friends and had such a fun time!! We made reservations the day before not really knowing what to expect - we ended up having a private class that focused on making three classic New Orleans drinks. The price of the class covers the three drinks and a small meal paired with a glass of champagne. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. They were able to joke around with us, answer all of our questions and even give us bar recommendations for NOLA and NYC. My favorite drink we made was the Ramos Gin Fizz. I've never had a cocktail with egg whites and heavy cream, and was pleasantly surprised. It literally tasted like lemon meringue in a cup and would pair well with breakfast/brunch. On our way out, the staff gave us recipe cards so that we could make the drinks at home. 10/10 would recommend to all of my friends visiting New Orleans. It's a great activity to learn about the history of the city's cocktails while pregaming a night out on Bourbon St. The drinks I made here were way better than anything I've had on Bourbon St anyway!

I can't begin to explain what an amazing time we had at the New Orleans Drink Lab. My maid of honor and mom of honor planned my NOLA Bachelorette party and planned a cocktail making class with Daniel. It was very informative and fun! We learned how to make three of the drinks New Orleans is known for from behind the bar. We had the entire set up and got to experience what the point of view of a bartender is like. Daniel exchanged some helpful tips that everyone should know in a bar atmosphere and even told us when it was time to "Ask for the check". Now we were a large group of 18 woman and not only did they accommodate us into their beautiful bar space, they welcomed us with food and kept us laughing the entire time! Thank you so much New Orleans Drink Lab for a one of a kind experience. WE HAD A BLAST!

My friends and wifey having a great time.

I am usually a pessimist when it comes to these types of classes. I have got to say...What a freakin' excellent time!!!!! I am reformed. Camille was warm and welcoming. Daniel taught me so much about mixing the perfect Sazerac among others. He is not only educating, but majorly entertaining. Those two are just magic! Thanks to them, I can tell if bartender is doing it right. It is like I was blind, now I can see. #drinklabnola has made a believer of me. This needs to be a stop for any group going to NOLA! Great job! Worth every dime!!!

I went here with a bachelorette party and we had a blast! The drinks were awesome and Daniel made this experience more like a show. He was very interactive with guests and provided a lot of fun information about the history of cocktails, etc. I would definitely come back and do this again!

I truly enjoyed myself. The instructor was professional and knew his stuff! The atmosphere was romantic and intimate. The drinks were very good I must say the " Hurricane " was my favorite, learned a lot. I would definitely recommend this class for your Nola trip. I can't forget about the jambalaya and king cake before the class started with a glass of wine, Worth every penny!

Another of their "poor" methods. They use plastic ice, substitute water for OJ, cream, etc.. Date of tour: December 21, 2024…read more After a wonderful food tour in Prague last year, we wanted to replicate the magic stateside while visiting New Orleans, a city with a rich food history and scene. As requested, I will keep the individual location names secret as to not spoil your potential food tour but also because the stops can change and I don't want to have you disappointed if you don't get the same places on your tour. Ty was a great guide, providing us with local history and culture as we ate our way down Magazine Street. The only complaint I have is that they didn't really interact with us during the food portions, standing or sitting off to the side, or running to the next location to make sure we were all set. To me, the guide should be not only the bridge between the locations and food with us, but also a bridge between the different groups on the tour. Ty told us before the tour started that the other folks joining us were from Michigan, but we found out from them later that they were actually from New York. Had these connections been made earlier, it would have enhanced the tour. On to the food, wonderful that it all was! Please note that I may make some errors in the actual names of the food, while I took pictures, I did not write down the names and there wasn't a post-tour recap to assist me! Stop #1: A local sandwich and a seafood side. Both quite good, especially since I don't like olives! Stop #2: An unusual meat that was shockingly good! Stop #3: Seafood options. I've had a different version of one of these items in Asheville, NC. This wasn't quite as good but still tasty. Stop #4: Southern favorites that were so good! I didn't think I would like these but I did. Stop #5: A peppermint fudge cupcake. Sadly, the weakest stop on the tour. Other that tried the gelato came away disappointed and my cupcake was neither overly fudgey or pepperminty. It looked pretty, though!
