Oh they've been breaking our hearts for years, too. When I was young I remember my dad yelling at them on television and after every game going out into the garage to throw shit...lol. I remember going to games with him in The Dome and him sporting a paper bag over his head. Still...every Sunday of every year during football season was church and then home to watch Saints football. In 2009 I was in a bar in the French Quarter watching the game that turned out to be the most exciting football game I have ever seen. In my entire life. *chills* OMG when Tracy Porter intercepted the Vickings' ball for the tie...that bar starting rocking. Hard. Then the field goal for the win. For a second you could hear a pin drop. In the French Quarter. Then everything just exploded. THE SAINTS ARE GOING TO THE SUPERBOWL. THE MOTHER FUCKING SUPERBOWL!!!! THE SAINTS!! If you've never been to a saints game, I recommend going to at least one in your life time! They are so much fun. Saints fans can be a little aggressive at games, but other than that, it's a lot of fun. The crowd is always energetic and the music is fun. The sell lots of different food items and have beer. I like watching the halftime show with the cheerleaders. You can see pretty good to wherever you sit in the stadium! read more

Wow! Who knew you could review the Saints? The New Orleans Saints are responsible for more emotions that nearly anything in this city. Sometimes those emotions are bad, but more recently, this team has left the city on a perpetual high. While I love the Saints, I am not that into football. Even though I played football, I don't get into any team other than the Saints. That is because they are our team. I do occasionally get frustrated with the madness that surrounds this team, but i still love them. It seems when there is a game, especially a big game, that everyone in the city shuts down mentally. Their only thoughts focus on the game, how to watch it, what to eat, and who will or won't play. I love this team and you should too. read more

Who Dat y'all! I am marking my 100th review for the Yelp 100 challenge with my favorite professional football team, the New Orleans Saints! My family have been fans since we first moved to New Orleans way back when! Even when the team wasn't doing well we still cheered for them and are Saints fans for life! One of the best moments of my life is when the Saints won the Superbowl back in 2009! I remember exactly where I was in the French Quarter with high school friends when we won! It was electric with everyone screaming, cheering, crying, hugging each other and just celebrating! Everyone emptied out into the quarter and for that evening all was well with the world. Random people were hugging each other, kissing, and just plain joyous! After Hurricane Katrina New Orleans needed something positive and winning the Superbowl fit the bill and then some! We could finally lord it over our arch nemesis, the Atlanta Falcons or as we like to call them "The Dirty Birds." It was really touching that a lot of my family and friends outside of New Orleans were rooting for our team because they knew how much it would mean to our city. It was such a beautiful moment in our history and I'm proud to be a part of Who Dat Nation! Who Dat!! read more

Who Dat! Who Dat. Arguably no NFL team means as much to its city as the Nawlins Saints. The loveable losers for so many years have had recent success since the signing of its best franchise player in its history - Drew Brees. Those days of the paper bag over their heads seem almost like a forgone conclusion until you see those NFL films with people with those bags over their heads with the eyes cut out. An impressive superbowl victory was enough to put the city and it's team on the map and into the history books. Grade: B read more

Who dat? Who dat? Who say dey gonna pay out dem bounties for injuring opponents? First-Hand Experience: I've yet to see the Saints play at the Superdome and it bothers me. I've seen them go into Tampa and destroy the Bucs though which was too much fun. They are a fantastic team to watch, in person (the one time I did) and on TV. Their passion is immense. They fully deserve the 5 star rating. Now that I've seen every NFL team play live & been to every NFL stadium (current and former), time to review them on Yelp! I love stadiums! I've been to every cool stadium in the UK & North America, due to my obsession with travel & sport. I've toured America as a musician for 7 years. In that time, I've seen sports games at (or visited when empty, or both) almost every major stadium in US and Canada. I have pictures of most which I'll upload at some point. I mean the spirit and passion of the city and team, especially post-Katrina. I don't know how they managed to keep the team around but I salute them and I hope it lasts forever. The Deep South needs more NFL (Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, Kentucky, are all missing NFL teams) just like the Midwest does (Nebraska, Oklahoma, Kansas, Dakotas, Iowa), so I hope the Saints never relocate. I would have given them a 5 but I have to be honest the bounty thing is very horrible. But I can't pretend it was something the Saints did. It was something a lot of teams did, obviously. I hate when one team is blamed for something that everyone else does. Anyway having thought about it I will give them a 5 after all. They are amazing and their coach is a genius. In any case, I'll always support the Saints and root for them to do well, and they are by far, by far, by far the best team in the NFC South. If you're in New Orleans make sure you go to Verti Marte in the FQ, a 24 hour deli grocery place, which will grill you up some of the best sandwiches you will ever eat. I think the re-signing of Deuce McCallister today has sent the city into pure insanity. I cannot explain the level of excitement that his return is generating. Through all the years of the Aints & the rumors of Superdome curses, we have stayed true to our boys. My youngest brother still talks about the Return to the Dome game in Fall of 06 as a highpoint in his life. The streets around the Dome were certainly insane that's true. read more

I am a big football fan and have been a fan of the Saints for years. I honestly like them almost as much as my hometown NY Giants. It is always tough for me to watch a Giants-Saints game I have a tough time picking who I want to win. I followed the Saints since they had Ricky Williams (failed experiment) but now they are set under Drew Brees at the Quarterback position. The Super Bowl win a few years ago was a well deserved Feat- Nawlins. This year coming up will be tough, I mean the head coach is out the entire year. The assistant who will be head coach even gets suspended for 6 games and you got a good Middle Line Backer Jonathan Vilma who is going to be out all year as well. Hopefully the team will play well together and take their punishment like men and not cry about losing these guys and also the Draft picks. I still look forward to the start of the regular season. I even use this team in Madden Football almost every time, sometimes use the Jets too, just they have a very EXTENSIVE playbook. Who dat, Who Dat... -I need to take a visit to New Orleans one day and see the stadium in person. Brees will be ok, his quarterback rating will still be high and he has alot of natural black athletes to throw to whenever he is in trouble he can find his receivers. Hope the running back can pick up a bit though. The New Orleans Saints. "Who dat" The NFC South Division. Yelp Challenge 57/100. Last season, I saw some progress on the running game. But the past several years I didn't notice anything special from your ground attack. Are the Saints ever going to at least attempt to run the ball constantly? That's pretty much the problem, the whole league knows you guys are going to throw 40 to 50 times a game. Well maybe with Ingram and his new contract. The free agent signing of C.J Spiller. The Saints can feed them close to 30 times a game. That will at least keep the opposing defense honest. The trade with the Dolphins was a head scratcher at first. I thought why trade an up and coming wide out like Stills for an overpriced Ellebre? Then the deal got sweeter by Ellebre taking a $ 7 Million pay cut and you guys got a third rounder, I believe. But you guys are in salary cap hell. With close to only $3 million for the season. Ouch, sucks to be you guys. This is what happens when the QB takes up half your payroll. The Saints may not have made it to the Super Bowl this year, but they get to be my 300th yelp review, so that's something! Since I was born and raised in New Orleans I am, of course, a life long Saints fan. I was lucky enough to go to my first ever (can you believe it?!) Saints game this year, and I had such an amazing time. The energy in the dome was indescribable and you could feel something magic in the air. Even when I don't have tickets to a game, I watch every Sunday with friends and cheer them on no matter what. Saints fans are some of the best in the world. Win or lose, Saints fans will go down to the airport and welcome players home from their away games. I don't have to talk about how amazing the Super Bowl win was and what it did for the people of the city. You already know all that. You already know all about the victory parade that stopped the city and the fact that there wasn't one report of violence that evening. After going to a game at Cowboys Stadium, I definitely have a new love for the Saints. The fans are GREAT. By far, the Saints' fans attending that game (a meaningless game, at that) were much louder & passionate than the Cowboys' fans. Inside the Superdome for a home game, it's like a crazy party.... an entirely different atmosphere than any other team. The team itself? A class act. They are always doing charitable appearances throughout the metro area and seem to care about NOLA. Football? Well, some years are great, some are not-so-great, but it's still highly entertaining each and every game. read more

Every Saints game is a HUGE festival in its own right! When the Saints play at home it's like a mini Mardi Gras party all over the city. When the Saints play away we bring some NOLA culture, food and fun to wherever we're at along with our demands that we be allowed to have go cups for our drinks! We don't care about any silly open container laws as they are illegal and immoral to Saints fans and most places tend to adapt to us and just accept our wild and wacky ways. Celebrating the Saints crosses more class, social, political, geographical and racial divides than anything else in New Orleans and the kinship fans feel over our team crosses more boundaries than any other celebration we have. The Who Dat Nation are among the most creative and outlandish with costuming for games and you will be hard pressed to find a more dedicated, outlandish, eccentric and interesting group of fans. read more

I am not a football fan by any stretch of the imagination...but my roommate is. I could have lived my life without ever seeing a game until living with a crazy Saints fan. We're talking season tickets, tailgating every game, stalking Drew Brees superfan. Well, maybe not the stalking part, but it's close. So I guess I'm a fan by association. Living in New Orleans it's easy to get caught up in Saints Fever, especially two years ago when they won the Superbowl (something no one would have ever thought possible) and this year when they broke so many records it's hard to keep track of them. Me, I support the team but don't want to be thought of as a fair-weather fan, the kind of guy who puts a flag on his car only when the team is doing well. After living the vast majority of my life in a city where the football team was pretty much a disgrace it's fantastic to see the Saints build a strong team that performs year after year. We may not win the Superbowl every year, but we kick ass all season long. read more

If you look at what season ticket holders are charging for every single game this upcoming season, it's beyond reasonable, and would encourage fans of the game to visit the city. When it comes to the Patriots game this season, the season ticket holders are gauging fans by increasing ticket prices by more than 300%!!! Are you kidding me? New England Patriots tickets for a home game is not that expensive. I will say this, at least Patriots ticket pricing is consistent for each game, nor do Patriots season ticket holders exploit fans of the game. I am a huge Saints fan. The team and players give the city so much to look forward to and get their minds off the awful things that happen in this city on a daily basis. On that note, I HATE Tom Benson. I think it's funny how everyone forgets how he tried to move the team after Hurricane Katrina. The San Antonio Saints were actually getting thrown around. If the old man loses the team, this is a 5 star organization to the highest degree. As for players, you can't get a better person to have in your community than Drew Brees. Why they haven't signed him yet is beyond me. I know he should be the highest paid quarterback, but I think things may fall through just because the Saints tend to let that happen. So until Tom Benson loses the team, I won't be totally satisfied with the Saints. This is my team, but the owner is a piece of work. Only 5 million to name it after Mercedes? Really? I didn't grow up loving them but now that I live in the city and married a local, I am happily a forced fan. They are really intertwined with the local culture and its great to experience. I've been waiting all my life to see the gold and black at the Superdome. Finally I made it to Nola for the first time in my 58 years and I splurged on awesome seats to see them. Little did I know that the only people who gave a shit about them winning 14 games in a single season for the first time ever were the fans. The team without Brees is a sad disappointment to all. Chick Hearn used to call this garbage time whennothing mattered. Why isn't there an option for 0 or negative stars!!!! I have on hold, and as I type,am STILL holding, for 1 hr and 17 minutes and 19seconds and counting for the ticket office. When the call began, I was #2 in line, and after about 40 minutes, I became #1 in line and that is where I am currently, now 1hr and 19 minutes in.
