There are people also in the auditorium to help you find a seat. The service itself wasn't bad. The day I went, there was a guest speaker from a church in LA. His "sermon" (if you can even call it that. It sure didn't feel like the typical sermon) was well-spoken with relevant points for the religious and non-religious. Unfortunately, our experience with the community itself was very different. This is a relatively small church, yet during our first service we were barely acknowledged when we arrived, and no one spoke to us as we left. At the second service, we received a few brief hellos and nods, but no one introduced themselves, asked who we were, or made any real effort to welcome or connect with us. We weren't looking for attention or recognition, so this wasn't personally upsetting. What concerned me was thinking about someone walking through those doors who is lonely, hurting, searching for God, or genuinely looking for a church family. Based solely on our experience over those two services, if you're looking for great worship, you may enjoy your visit. But if you're looking for a church where a newcomer can quickly find support, connection, and community, I would probably visit some other churches in the area as well before deciding where to call home.

The pastor does not believe that we are eternally secure. He believes you can lose salvation if you don't obey enough. He considers following Jesus what saved you. Not by grace through faith in Christ alone as Ephesians 2:8-9 clearly states. Salvation is not a gift of God according to him but only according to our cooperation in obeying. I talked to him myself and this is what he said.
