In that time, I've come to deeply appreciate what makes this church special. Henderson Hills is a place that is big enough to meet specific needs, yet small enough to foster meaningful relationships and a supportive community. Lives are shared at Henderson Hills, and friendships are built on faith that grow stronger over the years. New people are welcomed and introduced to supportive Community Groups where friendships begin and deepen. For more than 60 years, this church has faithfully cared for its people while remaining steadfast in its mission and vision. Through leadership transitions, location changes, and shifting cultural landscapes, Henderson Hills has remained committed to the gospel and the people who belong. One of the things I love most is how this church doesn't just gather on Sundays--it mobilizes. Hundreds of volunteers serve faithfully, creating opportunities to make a real difference in our local community and around the world. This heart for service reflects our deep desire to equip people not only to love Jesus but to live on mission for Him. We call this mission lifestyle "Living Sent" --a commitment to sharing the good news of Jesus wherever we go in word and action. And I can say with all honesty that we are doing our very best to equip and encourage people to embrace this calling every day. If you're looking for a church that cares deeply, serves passionately, and remains committed to the gospel through every season, I'd love for you to visit Henderson Hills. You'll find a welcoming community ready to walk with you in faith.

If you are looking for church, I would highly recommend checking this place out. This campus is located in Edmond even though it is some times referenced as Life.Church OKC on the website and while you are there. This is the oldest Life.Church location and a great place to check out if you are just wanting to experience what Life.Church is all about. Be prepared, this place will probably be very different than almost all churches you've been to before.

But then I figured I had nothing else better to do. Might as well see what all the fuss was about. When you first walk up to the building, there are people there to open the doors/greet you. Walk into the building and there's a counter with coffee and teas. Walk further and there's a table with donuts. (Let me just say, any place that serves free food already gets a thumbs up in my book.) Walk into the auditorium to live music with colored lights and big screens (Hello, Sunday morning concert). There are people also in the auditorium to help you find a seat. The service itself wasn't bad. The day I went, there was a guest speaker from a church in LA. His "sermon" (if you can even call it that. It sure didn't feel like the typical sermon) was well-spoken with relevant points for the religious and non-religious. All in all, I wouldn't be against going back.
