Team that packs up online orders…read more TRAIN YOUR TEAM My last AAFES online orders have shipped from the Fort Bliss Exchange, Shipping Department. Last three orders placed on AAFES, again all shipped from Ft Bliss Exchange, have ALL ARRIVED BROKEN. Three claims filed with online AAFES. Last Order from FT Bliss, arrived 30 Oct 25, also arrived with extensive damage, all 6 items. No padding on the items, one piece of brown paper around a 2 lb Resin Figurine / Candle Holder. No bubble wrap, no styrofoam, no air pockets pillow things - they beat each other up as they travelled to San Diego area. No damage to box, not FedEx's fault. FOLLOW UP MONDAY: NOV 3: I called and spoke to GM / Store Manager, very nice of her to take my call. She said no one from AAFES online orders, had reached out to let them know of breakage issue with online orders shipped out of Fort Bliss Exchange complex. In the whole scheme of things this is not important, but it is a big waste of money & customer time ( Customer has to call shopmyexchange, start claim process, supply photos and then wait for return or even exchange ) - She said she would pass the packing / breakage issue to the shipping department. Bubble Wrap is a wonderful thing. This was 3 separate shipments, all the same items, all arrived damaged due to lack of padding. I did this claim business three times and I am tired. No more 2 lb frogs for me - this was a total of 15 broken frogs in 3 separate shipments. I am having nightmares of Bath & Body Works frogs crippled and damaged chasing me thru the house. I have PTFD, post traumatic frog disorder.

The man checking me out (a Hispanic guy who they said was the manager) didn't bag a single thing. He handed me each item to throw back into the cart--which you can't even take outside. When I asked if he could bag them, he said no, claiming he didn't have bags... even though they were right there and I had just seen him use them for other people. I bought over 10 items and had to bag everything myself while he just stood there watching. It was honestly humiliating doing that in front of everyone. Another employee came to help, but when I asked to speak to the manager, they said it was him--and he just ignored me completely, talking to someone behind the counter like I wasn't even there. I've worked in customer service before, and this was just not okay. When I asked for names to report what happened, they said they couldn't give them out "due to policy." I left feeling disrespected and embarrassed. Not the kind of experience anyone should have.

The owners go above and beyond to answer all my questions and meet my several needs. They truly make me feel special. I've even purchased several items through Direct Message, making purchases even faster. The staff treat the business as their own too, so it's easy to say that customer service is absolutely the best I've ever received compared with any other clothing/jewelry stores. This store is close to where I live but when I can't pickup, I LOVE getting orders shipped because they come with the cutest wrapping, including a sweet, hand-written note. That said, I'm writing in hopes that corporate will see this, as their worker hygiene is absolutely horrible. My cashier repeatedly HACK-coughed into his right hand while checking our groceries, then proceeding to touch all of our lemons, avocados, cilantro bunches, etc. individually. I was absolutely horrified - during flu season, in a post-Covid world, no less. Thought about confronting him, or just leaving my groceries at the register and walking out, but the damage was quite literally already done, as within about 36 hours I developed congestion and a cough. Aside from it being gross, inconsiderate and unprofessional, I've got two little ones (a toddler and newborn, both of whom were right in front of him). He didn't seem like a bad person, just completely unaware, but that really isn't acceptable in this day and age. Good to know that shopping here may well be a super spreader event for whatever nasty virus is floating around, and God knows how many other shoppers he is infecting, but management really needs to do a Hygiene 101 for their workers.
