    Rock Solid Waterproofing

This company really stands behind their work. During the winter season after we did our…read morewaterproofing project, we discovered there were a few areas of our deck that weren't draining properly. We were really impressed by how Rock Solid handled it. Last week, a year after the original project, they sent out a crew to resurface, reslope, retexture and recolor the deck. They really demonstrated a high level of accountability and integrity. Not all contractors would have done this. We're very pleased with our experience. We've had a chance to meet many of their team members. This time, Devin brought Hannah, Spencer and Brody. They were all really hard working, and demonstrated a very quality conscious attitude. Our experience was that they really want the customer to be happy. We were grateful for their efforts. There are many different ways that a company can handle a situation where something goes wrong. Rock Solid really hit the ball out of the park on this one. They were really great to work with. 5 Stars!

Extremely happy with the service provided by Rock Solid Waterproofing. We had a slow but steady…read morebasement leak for the past several years, most concerning during the fall and winter rains. I contacted several waterproofing companies, all of whom sent out estimators. I found Mikael of Rock Solid to be very personable. He took all the Covid precautions and got a bid back to us within a few days. It was much better value than that of his competitors. The office called to schedule the work and it was done within two days. All the workers were pleasant and efficient, and the team leader even returned at the end of the second day to repair something his team had neglected to finish--much to my surprise, as I hadn't seen anything amiss. They left the work site very clean. The proof of their work is that during the heavy rains of the past few days, the basement is as dry as a bone! I would highly recommend this company if you have recurrent problems with basement leaks.

TerraFirma…read morewaterproofing product has been a significant update to a shoddy home remodel that the January ice storm exposed. After this unexpected remodel and damage was exposed we had a delay of several months to get on their schedule. When the project date arrived, they showed up on time, cleaned well after the demolition/addition of interior floors to allow drainage and a sump-pump. My original review (4 star due to not adjusting the cost when less product was used) they owned the mistake and recognized their communication gaps. I do appreciate that attention and feel more confident in the company. I look forward to many years of DRY basement/master bedroom living.

Living in a 30-year-old home for the past two decades we've had several phases of upgrades, but one…read morething has always been absent from a 10x10 slab on our back porch: a hot tub. So, this summer, we decided to move forward with the plan to be "soakin' for the holidays" three months away. The only thing standing in the way of that dream: the slab and its neighbor had sunk a few extra degrees, roughly three inches, at the far edge. We were going to need to shore up and permanently stabilize this slab if our hopes of the (3-ton when filled) tub were going to materialize. I made a quick call to Terra Firma and they had an estimator out within a few days. The pricing was reasonable and had the standard 50% up front 50% when complete-type contract. Casey arrived spot-on at 8:00am yesterday morning and began doing his magic (the process involves boring 1/2" holes through the slab, then using high pressure and heat to inject a molten expanding foam under the slab.) The foam is rated to support about 5 tons (10,000 pounds) per pound of foam material, and....100 pounds later that whole slab is back to following the prescribed slope perfectly, raising almost three inches on the sunken side. He did a great job and was a great rep for the company, explaining what little was left to explain. He kept me up on the status of the (4-hour) job as he went along--because our slabs had previously cracked, he had to gently lift it up in small sections so as to not have the sections separate further. Perfect job. 24 hours later and the patched holes have dried to almost-invisible (see photos). Unless you know what you're looking for, you can't even really see that repairs were made. Now I just need to fill in the pre-existing cracks with concrete patching caulk and we're ready to schedule the hot tub delivery! Yippee! Thanks Terra Firma!

It was a nightmare. We had to file a homeowner's claim not only to replace our sump pump, but also to redo the waterproofing under our house. I remember nothing but us cursing, crying, and tearing our hair out. All I know is our senior foreman was Ramon Morales. Just this week, almost exactly 4 years later, we had another atmospheric river. Our crawl space is dry as can be. We have had no problems since. I still have zero clue what a sump pump is, but I feel confident that you can trust John's Waterproofing to handle your homeowners' claim and get your house back to safety. After so many bad experiences in the Portland metro area, I'm so relieved to be able to recommend John's Waterproofing for the long haul.

Avori was very proactive in addressing the severeness of our crawlspace leak. The Portland flooding and our non-functioning French drain made it really bad, allowing water to literally flood into our crawlspace! Avori and his team worked through the water and mud, installing new posts and beams, redirecting the water to a newly installed sump pump. The job took much longer than originally anticipated but was done well and our foundation is now much more stable. I really would have given five stars if the original quote caught everything but it wasn't flooding when the sales guy, John, came out so he didn't see the extent of our foundation issues. Avori was able to keep the increase to a minimum and we really appreciated all he did for us.
