Patio door

Kai & Zack arrived well prepared. We replaced a window with a new Patio Door. The product is great. And the quality install work was wonderful too

They are Great.

I spent A Lot of time researching getting all new Windows and a slider in my circa 1992 townhouse. Looking at 12 plus windows and the slider. We had been living with OLD aluminum windows that would not close properly and the seals were long broken. I had Renewal by Anderson, Pella, another local Milguard installer and almost the "triple pane" dude from LakeO. Also researched other makes of windows including Marvin and Jeld Wen... If this was going to be my "forever" home I probably would have spent the extra 30+% on Renewal by Anderson as I liked the sales guy and think my job would have actually gone right. I actually sent him $100 to take his wife out to dinner after not choosing him because he was so, no pressure and actually educated me and was pretty much a consultant, just like he said he would be. ***Although now I think I would look at Lifetime for even higher end windows I know they have as Lifetime's installation went beyond expectpections*** Anyhoo, in my research of all these companies it was almost universal that they received five stars or one stars. The windows were all fine and high quality but the installation was the crux. You can put in the best and most expensive windows but if they aren't installed, calked, sealed, etc. correctly then all deals are off. I found Lifetime on the Oregon Energy Credits website and had reservations but their reviews were stellar. When Matt gave me his bid (after the other three but before LakeO dude) it wasn't the cheapest but by no means the most expensive, I took it, said let's get er done and called the LakeO triple pane dude and cancelled his appointment, he pouted, boo :( So we were still dealing with COVID and supply issues but they set a date that was reasonable (8-12 weeks I think) and then before the scheduled date we had the HEAT DOME. I called Thursday before our scheduled Monday concerned because I am anal. They didn't think it would be a problem but then I got a call on Saturday (they are closed) and we came up with a plan for them to show up EARLY, set up and get a start on the back end of the house (Shady West side) before the heat really started. Well Kai and Karl showed up right on time at 7:30am, got their tools and ladders and Windows and by 9am it was already 90+ degrees. They got a back window in and we called it a day. Next day even hotter but they showed up early and finished the back and slider. We survived. Yeah. Kai and Karl are THE BEST, just saying. On to the front of the house which is a super tall townhouse. CO, shows up to help setting up the crazy scaffolding rig. CO has to be the strongest man I have ever met, anyhoo, two days later all done. They only went a day over what was scheduled .... IN THE MIDDLE OF A HEAT DOME .... It was literally 116 degrees at one point and always over 100. I can't give Tai, Karl, (Bodie the new kid) and CO to much credit. And Matt. Great teamwork which is sadly missing lately so many times. Please look at my before and after pictures and especially what what my neighbors have had done. Sorry I don't have great before pics for the back. Rest assured there is NO COMPARISON. None! Can't recommend these guys enough.

We had inswing French doors replaced with outswing in our great room. Lifetime had a very reasonable price and was very clear in terms of timeline and scheduling. Tom and Solomon did the installation and knocked it out in about half a day. Great work, and a pleasant experience. I highly recommend Lifetime for windows and door replacement.

*UPDATED BELOW* Okay, I was really excited to get a quote from these guys as I need some new windows. So my sales rep was Christian. Nice guy, he arrived 15 minutes late. Really, I wasn't as concerned with that. So he did his thing. Measured my windows told me my discounts etc. He spoke ill of another company (which will give me their quote soon). Told me my quote which was the first one yet and I was almost ready to get on board. My brother in law was looking for windows as well so he asked him for a quote as well, as I referred him, oops on my part. Turns out he has 11 windows to install. His house is trimmed up and everything. His quote came in 6900.00 after some rebates. My house has 6 Windows. My quote was 5900 after discounts and rebates. "Whaaaaat? Really?" Mind you I told them I would do the interior casing and trim myself. Also, currently the old casing and trim are gone, as I removed them for making the job swifter. His reason are as follows as I copy and paste the email from him: Oops, I am sorry. There was no line and case added to the job for interior trim. 1. After reviewing the estimate form throughly, 2 of the 6 windows are custom sizes.( your relative has none) 2. Lines 1 and 5. Also, you have 2 windows on a second story(your relative has none) 3. You also have 2 windows tempered and frosted. (Bath and stairs) your relative has 1 window tempered and frosted) All of those things are make the job cost more. Those three item add to to the cost. There project for 11 windows was $7,382.00 Your 6 windows are $5,985 if you pay cash ( your relatives paid cash) If you finance the project $6,484 These are all the correct prices in order to get the project completed. Let me know if you have any further questions! Thank you, Ryan *UPDATED* So the owner Carl reached out to me to remedy the situation stated above. He informed me that Christian no longer works for the company and they wanted another opportunity to earn my business. So they came out and Alvin did his routine, measured the windows (not sure what happen to Christians measurements, but okay). He was a decent guy, real nice and professional. So I already had a quote from a contractor (Brandon Henry, sharp guy does amazing work). My quote from him is 5k for Milgard Windows. Unfortunately Lifetime could not beat his price but only match. Nice of them, but kind of a waste of morning as I was hopeful they could do better. So my review is only for the consultation, and I cannot speak for their workmanship as I did not have them install my new windows.

We were told that…read morewe needed a new roof, but the roofing companies I spoke to wouldn't finance my husband and me. We began searching online for discounts or senior programs that could help us out and happened upon DaBella Exteriors. This company responded immediately to our cry for help and sent out a pair of their employees, Amanda M. and her partner, Luis P., who began right away to assess our roof and our financial situation. After looking at the roof and making notes about the potential size and cost of the job, they came in and sat with us, explaining their plan for us and the choices we had about warranties, materials, labor, and everything else going into the replacement of an old roof. They answered every question we could think to ask. They had brochures, samples of roofing material, a very interesting and thorough powerpoint, expertly presented, and the friendly and professional attitude we found lacking in other roofing companies we spoke to. Amanda then proceeded to find financing for us. As we had spent most of our savings on the house, and were living on fairly small retirement checks, she had to look at several and find different banks and lenders for us. It saved us massive confusion and headaches. She worked all hours and kept in constant contact with us, offering alternatives and giving us good and bad news in ways we could hear and understand what she was telling us. I really felt as though she and Luis were both our friends and on our side. I am so grateful that we found this company and give them 5 stars out of 5. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a new roof and not sure they can afford it.

I need new windows. I already have 3 quotes. When their door to door guy stopped by, I figured one…read moremore quote can't hurt. I asked if they make their windows, because the 3 quotes I got were direct from the manufacturer or distributor & they said yes, they manufacture them here in Hillsboro. The guy actually tried to get me to believe that my original windows had been recalled a long time ago. This is such a dumb lie. They quit making this 1950s style of aluminum windows decades ago, but not recalled. I should mention here, that I am in the design & build business, so I know more about this stuff than most sales people will ever know. I told them I already have all the window dimensions, I just need to hand those off & they can email me a quote. They insisted on sending someone to look at the existing windows & how they are installed. They said it would take 60-90 minutes, I said I was too busy for that & would just show them a couple of the existing windows & hand them the dimensions, but could not waste that much time with the sales pitch. The next day, the sales person showed up, but would not just take the dimensions & quantities, she wanted to give me the full sales pitch. I really didn't want anyone coming in the house, but it was super cold & she seemed nice & not sketchy. I let her know I already had 3 other quotes, so I just need the pricing. I know all about vinyl windows. It turns out they DON'T make windows, so I immediately knew they could not beat my other 3 quotes, because they are buying & marking up the windows & then charging a ton for install. The 1st lie about them making their own windows is specifically why I agreed to let them give me a quote. When the quote came back at 4 times the average of my other 3 quotes, I said that I would have to pass for obvious reasons. And then just like a used car salesman, she called her manager to ask about discounts, if any other houses in the area are having installs done, so they could consolidate shipping/delivery costs, etc. They trimmed a little off, but it was still more than 3 times what I would pay the other window company, so she calls him back, they make up some BS about their marketing department just said that if they can take photos of the install & put a sign out front, it would shave a little more off. Keep in mind, this is a saturday & marketing is not working on a weekend. Now their price was still more than double my highest quote. At this point, I said that there is no way I am going to pay more for run of the mill vinyl windows than my highest existing bid, so please go so I can get on with my day. She was nice, she understood, I'm just sad that she has this crappy job that she probably doesn't enjoy. She left. Now DaBella calls me 2-3 times a day. How does a contractor grow so large with such sleazy & predatory business practices? It appears to be because they mostly target older folks who don't know anything about windows, roofs, etc & they lie to them about the hazards of their current (windows, roof, siding) & bully them into getting the work done. Do yourself a favor & read ALL of the reviews here, you will see a common thread. Find yourself a small, local, well reviewed contractor & avoid this high pressure behemoth that cares about money over clients. Don't do it.

I was transparent with him and communicated daily as we tried to resolve it. Steve repeatedly replied "no worries" when I mentioned the bank was taking longer than anticipated and I kept him up to speed on my attempts to solve the issue on check delivery. When we were two days past the date the bank said Steve should have been paid, we agreed I would call the bank. On the day we agreed I'd call the bank, Steve lost it - multiple text messages and then he started another text chain with other folks in our network to defame us. All while I had done everything as promised. If he wasn't willing to wait for me to call the bank he could have said so. Instead, it was "thumbs up" to texts and "no worries" replies. You're probably thinking the payment was months late. Nope. 11 business days. He also doesn't provide an ability to pay the invoice other than a check - which in this day and age means an online billpay. I can't comment on quality of work (some reviews say his window fixes don't last long - as mentioned by L C. on 7/22/2023) time will tell. I hope his work product is better than his demeanor and customer service.

While I did get 5 bids, only Legit Roofing actually spent time explaining in great detail their process, products, and warranties and answered all questions we had. The others simply sent me an email with their quote. Will and Dylan were excellent. Came to my home at 6pm on a Friday evening. They spent nearly 2 hours, measuring, explaining their products and all that Legit does to ensure they provide the best roof with the best warranty in the area. 50 year warranty cannot be beat! Their customer service was heads and tails the best, and ultimately why we chose Legit. Their price was a bit higher, but their customer service, attention to details, and quality of products earned our business and this review. They came to our home about 2 weeks later to do the install. Took about 2.5 days total for our 2800 sq ft home. The crews made sure at the end of each day to clean up after themselves, which as a parent and pet owner, I really appreciated. About a week after our roof was complete, Caleb, their quality control guy came out and did a walk around with us to find out how we felt about our new roof. We had nothing bad to say. They were great from start to finish. We highly recommend them. But I do need to point out some glaring details about this project as a note to myself more than anyone else before hiring this company. I first reached out to them in November last year and Manuel responded back very promptly using the odd messaging system Yelp uses. We traded a few messages, and Justin came out not long after to do a survey on the broken window in the bathroom which looked like it had been hit with a BB or a bullet. He gave me an estimate on replacing that window but pointed out that a lot of my other windows either had a lot of condensation build-up and/or mold beginning to grow out of the dampness. I ended up making the executive call to replace them all. It was a perfectly enjoyable hour or two discussing and then finishing up paperwork. He said he'd be in touch in about 4 - 6 weeks and left. That's where communication on an unprompted basis ended. I waited for almost 2 months before I picked up on the old Yelp thread because no one ever reached out during that period. Manuel told me twice he'd get back to me, but he never did. Someone named Skylar called me and told me Manuel had left on family leave. What kind of professional leaves his customers without notifying them that they are being handed to another representative? Then Skylar handed me off to Luke and despite my request to give me a heads up so I could let my work know if I needed to be home, he never confirmed anything. A third party delivery service showed up while I was sleeping and I had to clear out my garage so they had room. Then half an hour later Alex and his team showed up to start installing. I'm lucky my job was flexible enough to take me not coming in that week, but for other customers, do they have that kind of agility? It took them two days total to do the main job and then finish. After that Alex showed me the work and I signed a paper that he said was more for his team (I do a lot of projects for work and I'm pretty sure they were contractors for ASW). After that Luke said he had to do a walk for job completion that was never followed up on. I called him as promised and he said he'd get back to me, but he didn't. Then came the Docusign asking me to verify the job walk was done. I didn't sign it, thinking he had to do his walk. This was a $20k job. This is the first house I've ever owned. I wanted to be sure. He then said the job walk was done and I signed off on the work which meant the paper I signed with Alex was the final sign off, but he could have just explained this and saved us an email thread. One final laughable detail is his email to me didn't have an attachment, so his marketing team had to send me the photo he referenced to verify I signed. All in all, this whole process left me feeling like I was an inconvenience to them rather than a customer. The plus side: The windows look great. They reduce outside temperature and noise at a noticeable level. But ASW is just the coordinator. Other companies manufacture the windows, deliver them and install them. The one thing they should excel at is communication with the customer, but they decidedly don't.

They resided my entire house (after another company did an awful job that resulted in water damage) and replaced several windows and installed a cedar soffit. Communication could use improvement, and I would not recommend them to replace any exterior doors (their bid was insanely high). There were a few issues along the way (damaged meter box, dented gutter) that I wish would have been brought to my attention, but everything was addressed and in the end the crew went above and beyond to make me happy. They did an excellent job installing a beautiful cedar soffit, which is now my favorite part of my house.

After contacting a total of six companies to consider for the job of replacing our siding, windows,…read moregutters, and painting the siding, we decided on Superior exterior systems. The original representative that we spoke with impressed my husband and I because of how genuinely thorough he was in explaining the process and providing a very detailed, itemized list of the cost. The total cost was very reasonable as well, especially for the quality of the products we received. The office staff was excellent! The siding crew was excellent! The window crew was excellent! The gutter installation crew was excellent! However, we are not completely satisfied with the way the painting crew handled the paint project for our home. In our opinion our home should not have been painted in November because of the cold weather. They stated it would be fine. In addition, protocol was not followed by the painting crew. My husband and I found spots on the finished paint job where we could see the primer. When we asked for the documentation that showed the thickness of the paint applied in the two coats that were required, they hesitated to respond, and when they did respond they told us that they forgot to measure and document the thickness of the paint applied. A paint crew member did return to spot paint the areas in question. We would welcome a different painting crew that would do the job during a warmer season and document the thickness of the paint so that we would have written proof that it was done correctly. We are expecting the one-year follow-up inspection from the owner of Superior Exterior Systems on 10.8.24.
