Reid was also very open about all of the used vehicles pasts that we looked at. We did decided to buy from a different dealership at the time because there wasn't a right fit for our family at Toyota at that time. Reid however was very influential in my vehicle purchasing and had me bring my car seat into the dealership to ensure it would fit, correctly installed in the vehicle that I purchased. When my wife went to pay and pickup the car, they CHARGED HER A HIGHER PRICE than the one I was given over the phone for the exact same work described to me earlier. I gave them another chance last week with a simple coolant flush and fill appointment. While checking the car they said I needed a new thermostat which made my bill over $800. On the service order, they recommended a new air filter (didn't offer to change it). I have changed filters before, so when I got home, I went to switch out the air filter and noticed the air filter bracket was BROKEN. I called two times over two days, couldn't get an answer so I left voicemails to call back, I even gave the part # of the bracket I would need replaced. It's been 6 days, NO CALLBACK yet. You can buy a car anywhere but the service after the purchase is what sets dealers apart. I will DEFINITELY be SHOPPING ELSEWHERE as Murrays has disappointed me for the last time.

I really hate to lose my temper as they clearly wish to make me since I come from a background where you never argue with the customer regardless of your opinion of them or their wishes or complaints. This is very unprofessional and I blame both company policy and the management since it's obvious they have a paycheck bonus in place for associates who convince customers to spend more than they need to. Edit: My apologies for not putting this in originally but one example of what had occurred is one time when I went in I specifically stated I only wanted an oil change. The kid servicing my car approached me no less than a half dozen times trying to convince me of services I know I didn't need. For instance he tried to convince me of an engine cleaner which is recommended for cars with high mileage. However my car at the time had around 30 000 km on it, clearly I did not need the engine cleaner and the kid knew that I didn't yet tried to push it on me anyway.

During a trip through Montana, we experienced a slide-out equipment problem. I called 4 RV service companies in Lethbridge, AB, on Canada Day, 2025, because we were heading into Alberta, Can. on July 3. Tiffany was the only person who answered my call, and she was incredibly helpful. She talked about our problem, and told me, "when you get here in 2 days we can help you." We got to Back Country RV and they were waiting for us, I had a "show-and-tell" session with the service guy and within minutes we had the problem solved. I can say, without question, best support we have had on the road in 4+ years. NO QUESTION !!

They called an hour later saying that my muffler was so rusty that it needed to be replaced as well. He quoted me 400 for everything. A few hours later they called to let me know it was done. I went in to pay for it and it was only 103. I asked why it wasn't the quoted price and they said that after reviewing it again the muffler was rusty, but not to the point of replacement. It's small things like this that make customers happy. I will definitely send others their way.

There has been a…read morelot of stress lately with several dealerships charging us for diagnostics, etc., but still having never-ending issues. I guess that's how dealerships work? I brought my XJ to them and thought the issue was the radiator fan, relay, or wiring because it's not spinning. I'm wondering how come Jaguar Calgary missed it during their inspection, since they had the vehicle for two weeks? Jayson and Damien did the impossible things that huge companies can't do. When I asked about my bill for the work done, I was shocked that it was reasonable and lower than what most dealerships normally charge me. Thanks to the owner of Big Al's for bringing us such an honest mechanic or auto repair shop. This will be our new shop for our vehicles from now on. We highly recommend Big Al's.

My car sat at that shop for 3 months after they damaged the Holley Sniper. I asked for the inline…read morefuel pump to be replaced and to redo the intake manifold because it leaked. I said put a 60psi inline pump on to replace the 60psi pump that was damaged. They put a 120psi pump on, which damaged the injectors by over pressuring the system. Then after that, a 100psi pump, because they didn't learn their lesson the first time. They claimed they had a mechanic that knew all about these TBI systems. He doesn't. At all. Anyway, they finally agreed to replace it. Three months later after much going back and forth, I finally got it back. Just a complete mess. The settings for the Sniper were largely incorrect. I was only getting fuel across the blades in 2 of 4 barrels. I returned the car and it sat for a week before I went back and got it, and they did nothing. I fixed that myself in 10 seconds. The fans, not connected to the Sniper, were set up in the settings as if they were. The IAC was not set up. The throttle/kickdown cables were loose as they didn't tighten the bracket. I fixed the issues myself in less than an hour. I still have more to check in the settings, as I'm sure I'm not done yet. They blew up the starter (which was new). They broke the sun visor off. They chipped and scratched the paint. They killed the battery (which was also new). And then to top it all off, their smooth brained secretary, Jason, loudly called me a crook in front of another customer and said I conned them into getting a new Sniper. This from a guy who told me the Holley was seeing my 350 as a 4 cylinder and that's why I wasn't getting fuel in all the barrels. They weren't supposed to touch the Sniper. If they had just put a 60psi pump on like I asked for, none of this would have happened. I spent $2500 in that shop, and I seriously regret it. This is not the full story, I could add to it. AVOID THIS BUSINESS. You have been warned.
