Daniel seemed to know what needed to be done and let us know he had lots of experience. It is not a year later and the floors will need to be ripped out and replaced due to the subfloor not meeting the national wood flooring guidelines. The cherry wood flooring buckled and shot right out of the floor in places due to no moisture protection being laid down. This was brought up during the installation and we were told he knew what he was doing and to let him do the work. I have contacted Daniel through texts. Phone calls and emails asking for him to come look at them and see what he could do to fix the problem. He has refused to come or have any more contact since the initial phone call telling him the problem. He just said to me. I didn't appreciate his work and he said the floor and labor was only for three months. This is not true or even the guide line for flooring. I have given Daniel a month to come and make it right. I don't recommend this company.

Rudy sold his services as a General Contractor but didn't do anything to actually manage the project other than organize some subcontractors. I had to PM most of it myself. He passed on his subcontractors' pricing without ever questioning it. He brought down his quotes several thousand dollars after I called different things into question. He did nothing to educate me on things that needed to be done such as sealing the marble tiles on the shower floor. I spent $25k on a bathroom renovation and the shower floor looks like crap after just a few weeks. Spare yourself and hire a different contractor! Who knows what it'll cost me now to fix it, but it won't be with Rudy.

If my husband didn't pay attention to details, we wouldn't have known they had given us materials different from what we had actually ordered. If we didn't call them out on it, they probably would've never told us about it either. Another thing is, when they sent us a quote, it included removal of the carpets. When I told them that we had already removed the carpets and staples, they still did not adjust the price. They came back and just said that the original quote was already "discounted". They never mentioned which one was discounted from the previous quote. We asked them about it and nothing specific was being said about which item was actually "discounted". Again, a flaw in the communication chain. On the day of installation, even though the installers did a good job, it would've helped a lot of one of them can actually speak and understand English. They had the radio blaring. I had asked them to turn it down but I don't think they even understood what I'm saying. My husband works from home and is having conference calls all day and I'm homeschooling my kids while I'm working on my desk. And these guys doesn't seem to mind talking loudly to each other and crank up their radio. To the owner, please look into this as not all the residents you service are Spanish-speaking. I didn't want to ruffle feathers and didn't want them to take it out on me and do a poor job if I call them out, so I sent my kids outside. It's a hassle, to say the least. As much as I hate giving this kind of review and rating, I'm also obligated to speak out the truth as it is. And I hope positive changes will come out of this review.

I received the money to pay for repairs and the work started as soon as they could schedule me in. Work started and they worked every day on different projects until work was done. The home we purchased was discovered to have water damage upon final walkthrough. I was notably nervous, moving into a new home - unsure of this company and how long it would take. Hector, Scott and team not only addressed all of my concerns, but did everything in their power to move as quickly as possible so we could enjoy our new home. The first day was all prep, they covered up every area that the teams would have to move in and out of the house to prevent damage. I was pleasantly surprised to see they cared for my home as much as I did. The damage was extensive (though the promised it wasn't as bad as they had seen lol). We needed to not only dry the water damage, but also re-sand/ stain wood flooring, replace carpeting, sheetrock, baseboards, tile, a bathroom vanity, among other things. The full remediation and repair took a little under a month. To my surprise he actually took the time to sit down and show me the best options available to me with my budget something I really appreciated. Was he the cheapest? The subcontractors were excellent. Spiros was responsive to every request. While we had many surprises and unexpected challenges during the project, at the end of the day, Spiros built one of the most beautiful homes in Pirates Beach in Galveston. Alan came out to evaluate the problem and said he would replace it that same day. He also cut up and removed a heavy limb that fell on the back porch during the storm, partially blocking the walkway. He did that out of the goodness of his heart. I'm having Renovat totally remove the flue which involves cutting a hole in the roof, patching the hole and new shingles. We also discussed other items that need attention around my home and property. Alan was friendly, nice, and respectful when he answered my questions and explained what needed to be done. I highly recommend Renovat for any repairs you need. They also do custom home building. I will be using them for all future repairs at my house.
