Ms. Swathi has done a wonderful job with our child in writing, listening and vocabulary skills. The structure and individual attention Ms Swathi & Ms. Bindu provides has benefited him. My child made tremendous progress in vocabulary, reading, and writing skills under Ms. Swathi's guidance. Ms. Swathi goes above and beyond to adapts her teaching to individual child's needs. Ms. Swathi empowers kids to explore their learning capabilities, so they can be independent.

She has helped my son mastered alphabets, phonics and foundational math skills. Beyond academics, she has also been doing a great job developing his social emotional skills. My son used to be very shy and now with her patience and understanding, he has built strong confidence when interacting with others. In addition, she is also top notch in communicating with us about the development of our son so that we know how to collaborate better with her at home and at school. We feel very fortunate to have Ms Swati as our son's teacher. Highly recommend for anyone who is looking to prepare their kids well for stepping into K. The rest of the school staffs are also wonderful. Ms. Liz, the school Director warmly greets the kids and parents every morning. She is always willing to listen and truly understands the students need. We are very grateful of her and all the school staffs to make QL a wonderful place for our kids to grow and learn.

So I went in and watched. Indeed, someone sat him down at a computer. Which he is sharing with another student. No instructor in sight. For an hour. I just paid $70 an hour for my son to look up memes. It's supposed to be 2:1 coaching. I see some coaches working with 3 students at a time. If you do want your kid to learn coaching here, make sure you stick around and speak up to make sure you're actually getting what you're paying for. I don't have that kind of time. so we ended our classes. What instructors were there seemed fabulous. I can say that working with the management has been a disaster. Great at the sales pitch. Not so great at making sure there are enough instructors for the students.

He attends for an hour of code coaching and and hour of app team as a separate activity. We were a little unsure what to expect because he can be very nervous of group activities and has been prone to anxiety. So far however he loves Coder School! Everyone that we have met has been super friendly, welcoming and helpful. After each hours coaching we get an email telling us what has happened and what our son has achieved. He really does enjoy the time spent here, he says everyone is really friendly and the coaches are really cool. Thanks to coaches Alexander and Kaveh, to Natasha who is always so helpful and Will the owner...we are so, so pleased with our experience so far. Going beyond the coding itself, we really believe that Coder School will help build his self confidence, presentation and social skills - we can't put a price on that!

Our son has had a bad experience here.  He says that he gets a piece of paper to work off of, and…read morethe coaches come by every once in awhile and ask if it is ok, and that is about the extent of the coaching.  He has had problems with parts missing from his project as other students take things out of his bin when they can't find something.  They are usually the high demand parts, so he has a really tough time replacing them.  When he asks the coaches, they tell him to go look for the part, and he spends a good portion of the time looking for parts as they don't provide it for him.   He says when he has a question, several other smaller kids interrupt, and the coach's attention gets scattered, and they don't answer his question ultimately.   So, all in all, he is not able to make much progress week to week.  I was shocked, as the per lesson cost of this program is almost the price of private music or tennis instruction, that he would get so little attention and help.  Something so simple as the low availability of parts is something that could be managed, and there should be enough coaches to answer the kids' questions. I had asked about the competition path last summer and was told our son had to learn the basics for about a year first. When we said we would like to cancel, all of a sudden, this competition "class" was an option. I suspect that this basically operates like a daycare with legos for most, and all the actual coaching gets saved for the few kids in competition.

One of the things I appreciate is the relaxed atmosphere, which allows me to work at my own pace, experiment with new ideas, and simply enjoy the creative process. The studio is well-equipped, welcoming, and provides a great environment to throw on the wheel or handbuild. I'm grateful to have a space where I can come and go as my schedule allows, and continue developing as an artist. I recommend it to anyone interested in ceramics - seasoned or starting out.

We found the studio through a friend whose daughter graduated from this place and we feel absolutely happy to be part of this art family. I recommend this place to all my friends with kids and the main reason why I love Oam Studios is because they teach the fundamentals and explain the basics (shading, pencil pressure, anatomy, symmetry, etc) to children instead of making them replicate an art by following step by step instructions. Students get to pick their own project and the teacher works with them individually even though it's a group class. Teacher Omar created a system with gateways (drawing, painting, ceramics, digital art) that makes it fun for children to explore different means and 'advance in levels' as they learn more techniques. Our Teacher Monique is so patient, sweet and friendly. The studio is clean, very artsy and filled with student projects.
