Well, after the previous barbershop I frequented went downhill due to poor ownership, I followed my…read morebarber Travis to this new shop, and I couldn't be happier. I really love the look and feel of this place because, well...it's essentially a house that's been remade into a barbershop. I know a lot of dentists offices or coffee shops will do this to make people feel at home and relaxed, but I wasn't aware barbershops were using this strategy as well. But let me tell you, every room of this place is designed and decorated incredibly and I can guarantee you, this is every introverts paradise. No longer must you wait on the honor system of "Who's next?" No longer must you feel the stares of everybody else waiting. No longer must you stop mid-conversation with your barber because the music suddenly got quiet and you're the only one talking. Every barber has their own room and I'm really digging it. As for barbers, I HIGHLY recommend Travis. Not only is he very talented at what he does, but he actually enjoys it too. He can make anybody feel at home and I love that I can just show him a picture of what I want, and he'll do it. I've had other barbers that got annoyed that I wasn't using proper terms and numbers to describe the cut I wanted. But after going to Travis for over a year, I refuse to go to anybody else while I still have hair left to cut. Darn you, genetics. They are also accepting walk-ins during this COVID season, but it's very easy to book an appointment on their website. At a price of $26 for a cut, it's a little expensive, but I don't mind it as it's awesome to have a go-to barber that knows exactly how you want your hair cut. Parking is a little hard to find, but there are plenty of spots within walking distance if the lot is full. Glad to have a cool place like Annex in Oklahoma!
