I will never return here. This is my first time in France and I've always heard about how racist France is, and how they hate Americans. I am the Intersection of both being a black female from America. My waiter was awful. He was a middle-aged, tall, thin man with salt and pepper hair. It immediately started off weird. I asked him do they have lemonade and he said yes and brought me a Sprite. Ok. Whatever. He was waiting on everybody else and would come to my table as an afterthought. He was personable with everyone else, but with me, it was always weird. I was in there for 60 minutes when I could've been in and out in 30 had he been even moderately attentive to me and my needs. A white guy sat right beside me. He treated that guy like he was Jeff Bezos. I got treated like the help. Even the guy kept looking at me because he saw how differently we were both being handled. Fast forward to the end of the meal. I say to him I want to get this to Go. I had 90% of my fries left and half of my fish. He grabs my food and slams it on a tray full of dirty glasses. My plate is literally touching a filthy glass that had been taken off of someone else's table a few minutes earlier. This is highly unsanitary. I'm thinking maybe he thinks I don't want my food. 10 more minutes goes by as he's helping everyone else and I'm trying to tell him that I need my bill. He continues bringing everybody else else's Bill and And ignoring me while my food is laying up against dirty glasses. Some other waiter grabs the tray and runs off with it. I tell the initial waiter that he took my food. He runs down and finds the guy. And comes back and tells me that he's packaging my meal. At this point, I really do not want it. The second waiter eventually brings me my to go bag and there's no fries in the bag. All I want to do is pay and leave. I'm here for a Film Festival and my next screening is beginning shortly. I flagged down the initial waiter again and I tell him the man did not pack my fries at this point I'm angry. I'm telling him you put my food up against dirty glasses. You left out half the meal and he can see that I'm annoyed so now he's trying to get angry. He finally takes my card so that I can pay my bill. I now have to wait for fresh fries and I'm highly irritated. The waiter was extremely rude throughout the entire process. As I stated earlier, I will never return there, and I'm here for five more days. And the food was mid. read more

The food was sub-par for the area, but to be expected for a restaurant called New York New York in Cannes. However the service was the huge NO. Waited almost 20 minutes before we could even get a drink order, another hour before our food arrived. It was lined up outside, they could have had twice the volume if they took care of their customers. Do yourself a favour and go somewhere else. Lots of great places to eat in Cannes, and this isn't it. read more

The service was good but the food was average. The ribs were not tender. I ate them because I was hungry and I didn't want to waste food. The pasta was not good. In fact it was the worse we had while in Italy. Up until that point all of the food was good. The second issue was the birds. It was hard to eat with a lot of birds flying right above you head and walking around you on the ground. It was like it was their home. Very uncomfortable. I do not recommend this place. read more

Excellent food and nice open space that feels like your outside, but still protected from the elements

Delicious food, lots of outdoor sheeting with plenty of room. It feels like a little piece of America in France. Drinks were tasty and the service was good! We can for dinner and drinks one day- awesome experience so we came back for dessert and drinks only, they told us that their tables were for full courses only, but let us anyway. read more

Tourist trap but worth eating at. It's located on the main street in cannes right across from casino. The burger I had was juicy and delicious and the fries very crispy. Lots of seating and excellent service- a great place to have an afternoon snack or lunch and sit. read more

I have tried this restaurant at the recommendation of a friend of mine and is is quite great, the location is near the port, very spacious, they have an impressive staff. Their speciality is meat, so if you are into that this is a great place to go to, beef mostly but also other dishes, even seafood, but I myself think their forte is meat. read more

Look I love this place but most people who work here that we've had to deal with are *awful* and not just in the traditional French awful service sense, wholly awful. It's too bad because I like the food and drinks a lot. Most French restaurants don't excite me in the slightest but they have some amazing stuff. The pizza, fries, mint julep which you never see around here, the sirloin, incredible. But the service, the people, this place needs to upgrade. After a nice day of walking the Boulevard de la Croisette we stopped in for a coffee and a light snack. The coffee was not that much better, but the location took it to another level. It was good coffee. I also had the crepes with Nutella. If you find yourself lucky enough to be on the French Rivera on a beautiful sunny day, stop and have a coffee and think how amazing it is to be there. read more

(Sept.2017 lunch) My friends and I were shopping on the Promenade de la Croisette street, but didn't want to spend too much time eating lunch, knowing that the restaurant service in Europe is typically slow-paced. Not wanting to default to the McDonald's we were standing next to at the moment, we looked around in semi-desperation, and spotted... the New York New York restaurant. We looked at the menu, spotted dishes that caught our eye, and in we went. The hostess asked us if we wanted indoor or outdoor seating (the restaurant wasn't packed at the time). It was nice and sunny that day, so we said outdoor. But barely a minute later, it got too hot. We told the hostess, sorry, but can we sit indoors instead? No complaints; she obliged and showed us another table indoors that was near the outdoor seating area, facing the street. FYI: the restaurant's walls were all glass doors that were all opened (b/c of the nice warm weather), so there was no actual wall dividing the indoor and outdoor tables. But our table spot was nice and cool, under the shade. There was a table near us sitting outside that started smoking, but luckily the second-hand smoke didn't fly indoors toward us... The actual street is several yards away from the restaurant (but still visible), so you don't have to deal with smoke or noise from cars passing by. The waiters (all wearing blue aprons) stand around the restaurant, on the lookout for any customers that wave them down, which I thought was a nice touch - there was no need to hunt for someone for service. They had limited English, but we didn't encounter any issues. The food came rather quick, so our wish for a quick lunch worked out. The restaurant was only half full at this point, which may have helped with the speed. I ordered Truffle Risotto - It was delicious for the first several bites, but afterwards I struggled to finish it because the cream and truffle flavor was too rich. I'd still recommend the dish, but be prepared for a very rich flavor. My friends ordered Penne Arrabiata, and Linguini Bolognaise, and both enjoyed their dishes as well. Overall, it was a nice dining experience; tourist-friendly; clean & spacious dining space; attentive waiters on standby; clean multi-stall bathrooms; and a nice view of the street for people watching. read more

Nice place! It's big and they fit in bigger groups of people easily. The service was rather confusing at times, but in general the staff is friendly and accommodating. Their menu is extensive... Burgers, muscles... Something for everyone. Don't expect haute cuisine, but a warm and friendly casual breakfast, lunch and dinner place. read more

I like this place, and have eaten here more than once, but the service is bad. Waiters have attitude and are really slow to come to your table, even when you wave them down. Cocktails are nice, but priced on the high side. I would come here again because I like the menu, but I never expect to be wowed by the service. read more

Very bland food. Stale bread. Zero covid protocols. Rude hostess and bus boy. 2 stars for the nice waiter...

I let my fiance decide, and this is what he chose. I'm sure it's like he looked around and it was the first place he saw. So, I'm thinking I should provide some input. The service was kind of sketch. We both had steaks, and it was good but not really that flavorful and maybe more on the dry side. The eggplant was a nice option for a side dish, but yet lacked flavor like it was roasted or grilled but it just felt like it was missing something more. My fiance and I have eaten our fair share of steaks to say that this was mediocre, and I feel like we could have found a better spot of food to our liking. The prices were ok, but it's more of the view that will get you sitting here more than anything. read more

The food is...well, it's not up to the French cuisine standards that I had become accustomed to. The gluten free seafood pasta was over cooked and the sauce very watery. They were quite generous with the seafood, however, I would hope so at 22€! The rack of ribs was tough and chewy, no falling off the bone here! And the BBQ sauce on the ribs tasted like any standard grocery store brand. The grilled corn was tough and dry. This place was awesome.Muy manifique. (don't think that is correct but I tried). Anyway, we had a wonderful meal and everything was cooked as requested. I love that they allow dogs into the restaurants everywhere in France and Switzerland. this was no exception. we ordered some steaks (filet and strip). They were both very taste. Dessert was also awesome. The service was very good. The rest rooms clean. everything was very pleasant. Came for a day trip to Cannes and struggled to find a place to eat that wasn't either exorbitantly priced or where the waiters were practically forcing you in the door. Surprisingly enough New York New York was neither and also was situated right in the centre of town near the harbour. I decided to go for the chicken fajitas which which turned out to be delicious and great value for money. I found the staff very attentive yet not annoying and the atmosphere relaxed even though there were around 50 other diners there at the same time as us. Although this place might not be considered the 'authentic French cuisine' I would not fault its variety and service in such a demanding and upmarket area of France. read more

This place used to be one of our favorites with good and friendly service. Over the years the quality of the food has gone down, the service (if you can still call it that) is terrible and the prices have gone up... obviously ;). The place sill packed during regular times... it's well located making it a great tourist trap. There are so many choices in the area; strongly suggest to try the other options and skip this place. Time to close it, change management and bring in a new concept... our last visit was very bad, we thought it was an exception and tried t again and everything was worse than before.... not a roller coast but a sinking ship. read more

Im still waiting for the waiter to bring us our bill. The waiter was really rude and was rushing while we did not make our decision what to order for drinks. The food was okay, nothing special. We orderded a ceasar salad, an entrecote and a salmon steak. The salmon staek was overcooked and dry, the entrecote was okay nothing spectacular. This is the best place ever, kitchen chef have been trained by a 2 michelin stars chef and we can see the results! All the plate are quite big and all desert HOMEMADE unlike 90 percent of other restaurants. Meat is excelent and service is great, this is a must place to eat in Cannes. Perfect spot when you cannot decide where to go to eat. The menu has everything you can wonder about! Sushi,burger,pizza,steaks,salads,pasta, lots of side dishes - you cannot believe that food can be such a good quality and such a perfect taste when the variety of choices is so large! It's a great place for breakfast,lunch and dinner. Cocktails are very good, bartenders always smiling and welcoming. Something that you must try in this place is Chicken Caear Salad! The worst steak I've had in my life, without exaggeration. I'm an EU and US citizen, been to Cannes and France many times, lived half my life in Italy. I'm not really a picky eater, pretty happy most of the time. But the Ribeye I got was the toughest, least enjoyable piece of meat I can recall. In their defense, they did bring me a new steak, which was pretty good. My Korean dinner companion didn't really like her steak. read more

Busy American pub style restaurant serving American size/style food. As long as this is what you are after then all is good. The best thing about this place are the couches you can relax in whilst chatting with your friends. It's usually busy, especially during the conference weeks so get there before the crowds if you want a decent people watching spot. It wasn't a good experience at all: - They change the Steak to a better quality piece after we complain. - We were a group of people were there, and only one 5 years old girl was holding a sandwich when e get in he Resturant, and they refused to let her in with the sandwich. This place was very mediocre and had a menu like an Applebee's in the States. The food quality was not very good and one of the beers was turned. I probably would not have bothered to review this restaurant except for the bad service by one of the waitstaff. Most of the waiters were very nice and responsive but the waitress who handled the check was not. As she accepted my credit card she told me I could leave the tip on the card. I always leave at least 20% tip and when I'm in Europe, if it is not "service compris" (service included), I tip as if I was in the US. If it's service compris, I leave additional tip. Here I pointed out to the waitress that it said tip was included. She said that I was wrong and that just means "the boss" gets the money, not the waitress. I hope that's not true, but told her how much to add. She ignored the amount I told her and added more. It wasn't worth arguing about it and losing time, but based on the food and unfortunate service, I would not go back. There are many outstanding options in Cannes, but this is more of a one-time tourist restaurant. read more
