Do not go to the NY Spine and Wellness center in Camillus. I have had a horrible experience there with zero compassion. The staff communicate with me like I'm an idiot while failing to recognize my concerns. I worked all my career in healthcare and do not have to have matters explained to me like I'm a child. Dr. Davis and her nurses are exceptional, but it was extremely frustrating, inconvenient and insulting to deal with them organisationally.

Run as far away from this facility as possible! They are inhumane on the way they treat their patients... not to mention they have you come countless time for no reason. They keep you coming in to get your money for by far the worst treatment I've ever received! They don't care about your pain... you can suffer while they grab your money! read more

When I 1st came to this place it was great I got my procedures done with no problem quick approval. Now I've been waiting over 2 weeks for another procedure that needs to be done but they refuse to do it until they get a letter from the insurance company even though they have confirmation over the phone. I have been told it is not the insurance but this doctor's office because this is how they handle billing. During the meantime I have been in pain have been given no medication This is not what I would expect from a doctor's office or pain management. read more

I live in Auburn but, was referred to NYWS-CAMILLUS. D/t circumstances; I requested to have my care transferred back to Auburn pain management clinic. What a HUGE mistake that was! I went to my Auburn appointment & DR. JASON LOK-Auburn pain management clinic; although he seems knowledgeable; he made me feel very disrespected, uncomfortable, confused, rushed & judged! DR. JASON LOK-Auburn pain management clinic, insinuated that; I was seeking drugs. (NOT ONCE had I EVER ask him to prescribe anything! Most of the time I don't even take the opioids that other Dr's give me; unless the pain is out of control! I've NEVER EVER been treated so poorly in my life! DR. JASON LOK was RUDE, CONDESCENDING, ARROGANT, A BRAGGART who has a GOD-LIKE complex! As a NEW PATIENT one would expect an avg visit. BUT, DR. JASON LOK continued to remind Me that he needed to hurry bc, he was expecting another patient! Even though I had arrived very early & technically, "I shld have been his nxt patient! DR. JASON LOK was FAR MORE concerned with who's nxt, rather than deal with the person at hand! DR. JASON LOK, VERY RUDELY cut Me off, every time I tried to explain my history. DR. LOKS bedside manners were completely unnecessary & absent! Ik that ppl have bad days...so, I'm going to give DR. LOK a 2nd chance. And, if DR. JASON LOK continues with his BAD BEHAVIOR, then I'll return back to NYSW (even though Auburn is much more convenient for me. NYSW-CAMILLUS has ALWAYS treated me with CARE and RESPECT! I've never felt like I didn't matter to them! The Drs. at NYSW-CAMILLUS were very knowledgeable & took time to get to know my issues and how to best go about treating Me. The reception staff, although a lil underwhelming were thorough upon intake & exit care. I love the kiosk check in & the offices/lounge were very clean & lots of parking. The differences in care between Auburn & NYSW-CAMILLUS were shockingly obvious. I just wish they had facilities located here in Auburn! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND using NYSW-CAMILLUS. P.s. All of a sudden they did not care that I was in pain, they cut my script in half with no explanation and don't seem to care that I am still in a ton of pain, what the hell is going on over there, nobody cares about my pain, isn't this what you are there for. I went there to get my neck looked at then I they refused to see me because I had my 3 month old with me I got mad I been in pain for 10 years and I was happy and hoping to get the relief I need so I had to leave I called and complained the one lady said give us a second chance so I did because I really need to get relief ok. I go back I the doctor got me set up for a nerve block the day for my nerve block they said that its canceled and they are releasing my from them as a patient. So now I am going to sue them I had to pay a baby sitter and the gas both times for nothing great doctors don't care about there patients see every person involved in new york Supreme Court. WARNING: TERRIBLE SERVICE, ADA MEANS NOTHING HERE!!! Would not allow me to go see my doctor for my appointment due to the fact that they decided that I could not bring in any assistive escort/advocate in with me. I was told that I could at the time of my appointment beforehand in several instances. Most of the clients look very elderly, and I think the employees who look like they are need of taking a drug test appear have a power trip with the elderly. I am disabled and I told them that, which is why I needed an assistive escort/advocate. After being harassed a very rude man came out and said he was the clinical manager Doug Burtch and got very aggressive with me and told me he wanted to talk to me. I said I'm not going anywhere with you I don't know who you are you have no identification so we as where leave and I said what kind of place is this you took a medical oath as we got to the second set of doors exiting out l clinical manger Doug Burtch was upon us and was very conformational. Very inappropriate language, and demeanor, I never expected such a disturbing encounter with someone who I didn't know and didn't want to deal with. Worst place ever watch out for the rude staff and Office manager. read more

Worst possible experience with disfigured obvious grimacing pain. Don't go to Doctor Lok!!! He will botch a nerve block & only worry about his wallet. No care about patient care whatsoever... He'll also pressure you to put in devices just for his commission, even if the device won't even be safe or worth the risk for you. read more

Was 15 minutes late for an appointment and they flat out refused to see me! Have had to wait anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour to be seen every time I go there and was late one time and the wouldn't give me a break! My wife called and explained there was a lot of traffic and multiple construction and was on hold for 10 minutes before they picked up and still refused to see me! Rude and incompetent at best and most of the time you see Np's or PA's not real doctors!! read more

I wouldn't recommend this pain clinic to anyone. When I first started with them I had an amazing doctor. But Dr. Jacob Vella is no longer there and I am not happy with my care since he has left. They don't care if you are in excruciating pain they just take your pain meds away on a whim because they say your count is off. It was two days before my refil date I was supposed to have six and only had two. I had a couple bad days and took one more than I should have. But if they hadn't have cut me down from three a day to two a day because comp said to I would have been fine. My comp judge told you people and the comp carrier to leave my meds alone. Dr. Vella and I had that worked out with the judge that they couldn't touch my meds but you still messed with them. I am going to seek legal advice and go to the Governor if I have to. You people think you can just mess with people's lives and wonder why people have severe problems with anxiety and depression. More people need to stand up to you medical bullies and comp bullies. read more

I suffer from very severe pain due to a lower back & spine injury. It has gotten increasingly worse as time goes on. I had moved here awhile back & had been in another Pain Management Center. I was receiving fairly good care here, until recently when they decided to inform me that the CDC, had changed their pain med guidelines. Now, I KNOW that the CDC doesn't have ANYTHING to do with medicine guidelines, the FDA does. I researched & researched & called not only 11 Drs, but, 16 Pharmacies & looked up & read 23 articles. They ALL said the SAME thing, the FDA has regulated the use of Tylenol amts in pain meds, it's been lowered. I was just at an appt the other day & was told that they are being monitored by the DEA. Well, that has to make you wonder as to why & were they just making this crap up as they go along, seriously. Meanwhile, the meds I HAD been on, were DRASTICALLY changed. No longer will they give me "break-thru" pain meds, sooooo, I had no choice but, to turn to OTC's praying they'll help. I was hurting so bad & let them know, their response, "go to the ER" Workers Comp does not pay for that & when I told them that (more than a few times) they said not our problem. I was in so much pain, I couldn't sleep & was awake for DAYS on end. I didn't know what to do, so I tried a nighttime sleep aid with pain meds in it. I took so many as, I'd start with the recommended dose, didn't work, took a couple more, fell asleep for almost 2 hrs, woke up hurting took a double, got just about 4 hrs of sleep. Of course after doing this a few days, I had to take more & more. I went through a bottle of 500 in a little over 2 weeks. My family was afraid I was going to OD, they couldn't get me up & when I did get up, it was only for an hour or 2 & I was back to sleeping. They finally had enough. I stopped taking it & have been trying to live with this pain. I can't go anywhere or do anything. This isn't a way to live. A Pain Management Program is SUPPOSED TO HELP, NOT HURT. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. They also have NP's pretending to be actual Dr's. I have no choice but, to lodge a complaint to the States Atty General. I'm a person & I deserve to be treated as one. read more
