He sent me to a buy/sell/trade establishment, and but they gave me $10 for several silk ties bought at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and still in the wrapping as well as some amazing clothing that my mother had before she died (from Jones of New York and Talbotts, almost never worn). I felt like he thought I wouldn't have anything because of the way I was dressed. (I don't dress up to show my status in the world, and clothes are not that important to me.)
