We also received an email with a picture of the technician we were to expect. He quickly diagnosed the issue (a basket) within minutes and quoted us a total with labour included. He had us confirm the cost and advised it'll include a one year warranty. For any service calls after 6pm, or weekends, they advise you that it's a $69 charge, however this will be waived if you go ahead with the work. You can call into their main line, they take your info, and then they have someone from dispatch call you back. A pretty simple process overall.

I hired Dr. Pipe (Osmaks) in October 2023 to install two alcove-style bathtub, and tub trim, faucet and shower head in my two bathrooms. I told Maksim and Ron (his son) that after they were done, I had a tile installer booked to do the tile around the tub. During the job, they didn't level/shim the tub, didn't level/center the shower head line, ripped out the floor plank in front of one tub (but not the second one), and destroyed baseboards (see attached pictures). Generally, left my bathrooms a disaster. When my tile installer came to do the tile job, he notified me that the tubs were not level. I immediately contacted Dr. Pipe and Maksim gave me every excuse in the book (my floor was not straight, etc.). Although he offers "emergency 24-hour service", he couldn't be bothered to send someone to level my tub until Monday. Hence, my tile installer could not finish his job and I was left without the use of both my bathtubs for over a week. After work in my basement, I had water flooding. Not once, but twice. Destroyed my brand new vanity that Dr. Pipe installed. Disrupted my tenant. Still no resolution to the damaged vanity. Maxim Osadchyi also took $150 for the installation of the shower trim and I had to pause the project for some time. Texted him that I would let him know when he could come back to finish. No response. Then when I reached out to finish the trim or refund the $150, he refused to do either. Scamming me out of $150. I do not recommend this company due to their unethical behaviour.

I told them to keep the $79 consultation fee and that I would find another service provider. At that point, the technician's tone noticeably shifted. After a brief call to his manager, he came back with a revised quote of $449 + HST--almost half the original price. It was an obvious and troubling sign of intentional overcharging. Since I had already paid the $79, I agreed to proceed. The final bill came to $518, which was at the high end of the acceptable range, but within reason. YYZ had their service man on the job, by 7pm. Glendon was professional, arrived with all necessary equipment including a 3/8" large snake, focused on the job, worked hard using the snake to quickly clear the drain. He then inserted a camera in the pipe to make sure the line was clean and finished with a power wash. Job done with honesty and integrity for a reasonable fee. Highly recommend YYZ!

They were working with a company called Contractor Pass to do the plumbing work on my bathroom in October 25 2023. I was quoted $600+tax ($678) Sent payment of $678 to Josh via e-transfer per his request on October 25 2023. On November 8th 2023 they attempted to send an invoice of $644.67 to my building's property manager. I showed Josh the email chain, and he forwarded it to Laura asking her to remove the invoice which she confirmed. No one knows where this lower amount came from. Feb 06 2025, 2 years later, some guy named Kris from YYZ calls asking for money. I forward the email chain to him and he apologized. April 30 2025, a woman who claimed to be from YYZ called asking for money, claiming that a NEW invoice was generated in February 2025. I explained I have not hired YYZ in 2 years and to please figure out their record keeping issue. They apologized again and seemingly left me alone. Aug 19 2026, the company has sent a brand new invoice for $3866.30 demanding payment from an address I've never been when I haven't used them. I will see what the best options are for reporting this as fraud. I highly recommend not using this company and to keep all commmunications in writing. I do not recommend hiring this company. Not much food came out, so that was not the issue. Our property management company could not even organize an inspection during this time. After seven days, I began calling plumbers. With Canada Day this week, it was tough finding a plumber who would commit. Peter, from San-Del agreed to take on the job and scheduled an appointment on the holiday. Peter showed up on time, was very friendly and professional, and answered all of my questions clearly. He told me what he was going to do and approximately how much each step would cost. After replacing the drainpipe, the water still was not draining. He roto-rooted the pipe down to the main drainpipe and the stoppage disappeared. The price was reasonable and the work looks fantastic. Peter even cleaned up when he was done. If only our property managers could do work this quickly and professionally. We live in an old old house with clay pipes that have disintegrated so we pretty much had no pipes for the sewage to drain. They started work on the Monday of the next week. Basement had to be excavated, pipes replaced, holes filled, basement cleaned up as best as the could. They were efficient, came each day 15 minutes early and worked most of the day. Trevor took care of filling in the insurance company with all the pictures and paperwork. I would have no problem calling them in again or referring them to anyone.
