I've lived here for four years now, at first with my husband, then with my cat and now with our son…read moreas well. We've grown our family and moved from a one bedroom to a two bedroom in our time at Timberwood Commons. I was pregnant at the time so they even offered to help us move which saved us so much time and money. They've gone above and beyond to make our experience here the best that there is with apartment living. When heating rates doubled, I talked to them about how our Nest Thermostat (smart thermostat that can be controlled with your phone) had been saving us money- what did they do? They installed one for everyone in the complex. Amazing. My advice to anyone living here or moving in is that you go to them with any issue or request because they've been exceedingly flexible and helpful to us at every turn. The apartment itself is beautiful, new looking (even the one we moved into that had been lived in before us). We had a baby and kids living above us and rarely heard the softest of a baby cry if you were listening carefully and, having our own infant, my mom ears probably only heard it because of that. We sleep trained our baby when he was older and our next door neighbor said he never heard a thing (as we were sure to make sure this didn't disturb him). When I was pregnant and couldn't walk up stairs because of complications they modified our ground level apartment so we could walk out of the porch (by installing a door) so I could get to my car without stairs right to my car- 10 feet away. Made it possible for me to leave the house on my own which was a lifesaver (and a job saver). The property management has always been incredibly friendly and helpful with every question, request and transition in our life. As my husband graduates his fellowship soon, we will be moving soon but will be sad to leave as finding another apartment with this kind of service is likely impossible. I'd also add we share the electrical line with the hospital and even through storms where most of town has lost power, we never have- not even during the hurricane. So that's a huge plus too!

We recently had a broken septic pipe and Terry Melendy was recommended to us. He always answers…read morehis phone, he came to us exactly when he said he would to assess the situation, gave a quote, and showed up exactly when he said he would the next day. (Actually, a bit earlier, but that was better, and we had spoken on the phone.) The job was difficult...pipe broken in 3 places, but he and his assistant worked diligently to find solutions for us, and they were finished in about 3.5 hours. He approached a difficult task with a can-do attitude, and a hearty laugh. And he stuck to his quote. On top of it, after they dug up our yard, they meticulously raked it back out and even the tire tracks leading up to the work site. You really couldn't tell they'd been there. I can't recommend Terry and TRJF Services highly enough.

First, I received a call back after leaving a message immediately (like within the hour). I called 3 other contractors, 2 of them never returned my call and a third called back after P&R completed the work. Rick came out to my house the very next day to survey the damage and take some measurements. I had an estimate for the work within the week and they started working right after that. Rich and Jake made great recommendations for how to refurbish the basement (suggesting vinyl flooring instead of the carpeting). They installed all the flooring, repaired all of the baseboard, fixed the covering to a load-bearing beam, painted 2 rooms with 3 different paints (2 coats each) and even installed sump pump so that the flooding that happened will not happen again. They did all this work in 1 weeks time and at a great price. They worked hard and were willing to answer all of my novice, homeowner questions the entire time. Since this initial work we have had them reinstall a backsplash for out kitchen counters AND Rick came out on a Sunday, during an emergency where my power breaker was tripping every few minutes. You're simply not going to find a better contractor that P&R. My wife and I are putting together a master list of projects that we want P&R to work on in the coming years and are looking forward to having them continue to add value to our home.

Then, after ANOTHER two and a half weeks, I had to follow up to inquire about the inspection report as I had not received it." I left the above as my original one star review. Afterwards, the owner did finally connect and explained she had been ill since the inspection was done. While I'm sympathetic to life being out of our control sometimes, the business should have someone to at least take over communication if the owner is out. I would've been fine with the delay if I had been notified, and could've relayed this to my insurance company instead of dodging their calls. I WAS THEN ASKED TO REMOVE MY REVIEW before they would send my inspection report. Truly unprofessional. Actual text messages from the business (I was working so was unable to respond): "4:57PM The review is still there!? 4:57PM I'm getting ready to send inspection but need the review taken down! 5:13PM ?? 5:55 PM Need spelling of last name and full address to send it over now!! (THIS INFORMATION HAD BEEN PREVIOUSLY PROVIDED) 7:00 PM Good evening. I need the info and the review taken care of so I can send this along this evening and get you taken care of please." I took the review down to get my report, and after I updated the owner, they said I'd have the report in an hour or so. Didn't receive the report for another six hours though they claimed they sent it hours earlier. Maybe this business has been great before, and will be great again, but because I specifically chose this company based on their reviews, I had to provide an account of my experience.
