Convenient location, friendly employees and great deals on cigarettes (right now Camels are only $3.50 a pack)... Really, need I say more?

If you are looking for unbiased, accurate reporting, look elsewhere…read more This periodical has a decided bent and it is not toward sharing facts in a neutral manner. Skewed to the right, it reenforces division within the already divided community in sometimes subtle, but usually not, words, articles, ads, and images woven throughout its pages. I am a fan of independent journalism. I want to see newspapers thrive in these times. Too many people are relying upon information from suspect web-based sources and it shows. But I expect quality, fair, accurate reporting, and inclusive practices before I direct my monies toward any newspaper. I appreciate the coverage of local events within these pages, but there seems to be a bias in what, and how, even those are covered. At $54 a month, this not-even-daily, is not forward focused enough for our changing times. The old guard is anxious and this paper feeds that anxiety with thin, old school coverage. While not as hysterical and blatantly angry as the Beacon, Roseburg's other source for "news," those in charge here might benefit from going back to school to revisit the basics of impartial journalism. Too bad, because a couple of the reporters show real promise.

Nice service. Not to mention their facts suck and it doesn't appear that anybody wants to place an ad with them it's not a total loser like they are.

These people saved me from going to prison. It's a long story, a very long story. But the first…read moreattorney I had, supposedly the #1 defense attorney where I live, promised me all kinds of things. He knew I was innocent, it was incredibly obvious. There were some real contradictory things in the police report that frankly were clearly lies to anyone who read it. The attorney said, "This is totally bogus, one of the worst I've ever seen" and "I know the DA and these people, I can have this straightened out right away" and "I've worked with these people for over 15 years, I assure you I'm going right over there and get this stopped". And so of course you have to pay them up front which I did, many 1000's of dollars. And then guess what the attorney did? Nothing. He never did any of the things he said he would. So I called US Observer because a friend of mine swore they'd helped him. And before I ever said much, the head man Ed Snook said, "Let me tell you what that attorney told you", and he proceeded to say everything, almost word for word, that the attorney had told me. It was the attorneys sales pitch. And Ed told me every word out of that attorney's mouth was a lie. And it was, Ed was proven 100% correct. So at that time US Observer had a real warrior of justice working with them, an attorney named James Leuenberger. Sadly Jim has since passed away. But he actually helped me. Without going to trial I went from facing a Measure 11 crime in Oregon with a 70 month mandatory minimum prison sentence to $100 fine and 18 months probation. I didn't even have community service or anything. Then after 3 years I had a "set aside" where the record was expunged. To quote the judge in the "set aside" order, "It is as if this never happened. You may legally say all this never happened, even if asked in a court of law". Everything was gone, all the records of all the hearings, my background check is blank, nothing there. Kinda amazing that occasionally there is some justice, even though I had to take the plea offer for something I factually did not do. I was told the result was nothing short of miraculous from a private investigator, by two journalists, and by my estate attorney. They all used the same word, miraculous. Without the attorney that US Observer helped me get, and without their behind the scenes actions, I might still be in prison to this day. While I was in Grants Pass working with these people, who I count as my friends, I saw an incredible work ethic. They're hard working people that really believe in what they're doing. They are not "Hired Guns", they don't publish just anything people tell them to publish. They ONLY take cases from people who after an extensive investigation are shown to be innocent. They review all the discovery as provided by the DA to the defense, and interview you extensively. They knew more about all the details of my case than even my good attorney knew. We didn't have to go to trial but they started preparing me for that. The strategies of how to win are extensive. The psychology of how to win in a jury trial are also amazing, there is a lot to it, there is tons to know. And these people are experts at this, much more so than even the good attorney. While I was there I got a chance to talk to one of their clients who they also saved, she's one of the success stories on their website. Her story was incredible, a story of a terribly corrupt system of justice. And the end of her story she said, "They saved me", meaning US Observer. They are the real deal. They have factually helped many, many people and continue to do so to this day. Unlike the Innocence Project that helps you AFTER you're convicted and then usually only with DNA evidence, these good people help you to avoid the conviction to begin with.

I then return something because I spent money I wasn't supposed to and my mom got upset so I went to return it I never used it the owner explained to me that he's not supposed to do it but he will do it but John had to put his two cents in and tell me once again that they can't do that. He saw I didn't like it so I went back to return it I didn't even use it and the money that I was going to be returned to me I ended up spending it back at the shop just to prove to John and the bill that I'm not the type of person to buy a product not like it and then just return it. Then John which is it has a criminal history had a bad time at court the other day and decided to take it out on me I came in the store with a white plastic bag that you couldn't see inside he was on the phone and I was on the phone with nabil with my voice kind of louder than normal cuz I was upset he then comes out and starts raising his voice Pat over mine and I asked him why are you raising your voice. In customer service udescalate things you don't escalate things that's they must not be taught well about customer service or you just plain ass doesn't care. It's all a fake in the front they act very nice and friendly and get your money for products that will not last long then you're the bad guy get cops called on you and get threatened to be arrested if I go to the store why would I return to a store where I was rudely treated called a liar like I'm a con artist so if anything it's doing me a favor saving me money. I forewarn anyone going to holy smokes that it is a facade they will be very nice and friendly with you but if you have any problems whatsoever say a item is defective which happens they will either not take it back or they will considered you a con artist or someone trying to rip off the store. Not sure how when something is broken not because of me but because I put a little warm water in something and I set it down and it broke and I'm the bad guy. How about the fake shroom bars that they sell I've spent $80 or more on them you can authenticate them and I did they were both fake did I go in there complain argue yell and demand a refund no I did not. So shopping here you will end up losing money because the product will not last long or will not let work as intended and if you want to return it for some reason that it's defective you might be considered a con artist and a liar just like me. The piece that broke that I put warm water in that I was accused of being a liar I was going to buy it I didn't want a free piece but John assumed that I was coming in there to get something for free he got in between what me and the owner were talking about had no idea what he was talking about and now lost a customer for life and many more customers after I tell all my friends and family what was done to me there the other day. Now the owner is threatening to take me to court and accuses me of stealing stuff from them which I stole stuff and I never did and if I did steal something why would you wait till now to press charges that makes no sense at all he's trying to make me look like the bad guy and the one that created this issue. and problem when ultimately it comes down to selling products that break very easily or stop working within a few months and then your criminal employee goes off on me and is rude and calls me a liar and he's is sending me to court. This place is a crook. He always offered me items for free when items broke and every time he offered it for free I always said no I didn't want nothing from them for free just to prove that I'm not a con artist now he's using that against me saying that he gave me a gift because I calm them out of something no your product just broke because it's cheaply made and I was going to even pay and buy for the same exact one. Can you help me out then and the other present you gave me the bong which you gave me because I spent $175 on a bong a month before and it broke when I put lukewarm water in it at the bottom and has very upset and then I bought a dryer vape pen or a nectar collector which you have to turn all the way up for to work which isn't right and the neck and the dryer vape worked like crap. I wanted my money one time in there because the product did not live up to with the box says or the aspect says on it I was never the type to go in there and always expect money or something free I always offered to buy stuff back even though it wasn't my fault it broke. So now he threatens to take me to court this just shows me the type of character he really is you leave a bad review and then you get threatened to b sent to court. I've yet to even get a sorry
