May 5, 2011 Newton Auto specializes in Gouging and ripping people off on State vehicle inspections. Do not have your vehicle inspected there, they are a ripoff and are incompetent. My wife had her truck inspected there and was rejected and needed about $500.00 of front end work to pass inspection. She had all the work done and took the truck back for re-inspection 5 weeks later. Yes the state law is that you have 20 working days or a calendar month to have it re-inspected or the inspector is entitled to completely reinspect the vehicle. Mr. Newton did a new inspection and rejected the truck again and said the muffler and tailpipe needed to be replaced. The truck sat in the drive for those 5 weeks and was not driven because of the tags being expired. So, one of two things happened. Either the muffler and tailpipe magically became defective sitting in the driveway for 5 weeks or Mr. Newton is incompetent and did not properly inspect the vehicle the first time.
