This was one of my first times recycling, so not sure how normal that is, in the end we got $36 for 24lbs of plastic bottles. Was expecting at least $40, which would have been if they hadn't taken the 20% for profit i assume. Anyway, ill try a different place next time and see if they take the same amount for themselves. Recently I moved to Norco and was excited to find out they had a branch nearby in Riverside. I loaded up my CRV glass and plastic and headed towards their yard. When I got there , I found the customary barrels pulled a couple over to my truck and started to unload my glass. Before I got too far along in my unloading, one of the workers came over and said we don't take CRV glass or plastic here. I was shocked. If you take c r v aluminum , you have to take the other materials I always thought. Apparently not so.

I was told they charge $0.15 / lb for e-waste but they just dumped my stuff in a box with other waset and I was on my way without any less money other than the gas it took to get out there. But doors were closed and no staff in sight just a few other people waiting impatiently to no avail. After 20 mins I gave up and left but not before calling their business line and leaving a message with their AI attendant. Feeling a little like I've been scammed and definitely out the gas money for 3 wasted trips.
