My mother and I went there for a lunch on the spur of the moment because it looked so interesting and healthy. However, that was wishful thinking. The salad bowls have endless number of ingredients: that became time-consuming to read and decide which one to order like this very entitled customer (more on that in a minute). That also created the problem for the staff who must spend more time assembling the salad bowls to the order. What's more, the very entitled customer in front of me spent more than five minutes discussing with the cashier which salad bowl to order and whether she could substitute the ingredients. The cashier was too accommodating and too loquacious. Oh, gosh, I was fuming due to sheer hunger. When it was my turn to order, the cashier pointed out that the hot dish I wished to order was 86ed. Nothing to indicate that when I looked at the menu board. I had to make the quick decision which alternative dish to order. My hot dish was promptly served while my mum's salad wasn't. We waited about ten minutes before realising something amiss. The guy who was preparing salad bowls suddenly stopped and took over the cash till when the customers came in. The staff was bouncing off the stations without any sense of priorities. My dish was getting cold so I walked over and glared at the guy to finish the salad bowl. Exasperatedly, my mum approached the guy to give the piece of her mind about the shambolic service. When she finally got her bowl, I was finished with mine. Unfortunately, the salad bowl was underwhelming and tasteless. Perhaps they forgot the dressing when rushing through. A guy with two toddlers got so frustrated and angry when his order for smoothie and a slice of apple pie weren't served after waiting more than fifteen minutes. A customer who came in after this guy ordered the smoothies and got them right away. That didn't sit well with the father. Just don't go there if you don't want to wait 15 minutes in the queue to order and another 15 minutes for the salad bowls as well as getting the dishes out of sequence.

(There is seating when you walk in, along with a lower and upper level!) the cake selection was amazing, for myself I had to go black Forrest. We were seated immediately and had English menus avail if needed. Our serve came promptly and took our orders, the food and beverages shortly followed that. Now my only real gripe is that we never were checked on during our meal, when I actually took a second to check into the cafe on yelp, they were offering complimentary Prosecco which sounded super nice, however I never got the chance to ask for it as the next time we saw our serve our table was done with all food and drinks completed. We felt a bit avoided by the waitress which was unfortunate. At any rate, the cake was soo good, my wife very much enjoyed her breads with meat/cheese. And our drinks were very good as well. Such a cute little spot in the historical section of Nuremberg. The tables go up on the hill a…read morelittle and there are quite a few, but later in the afternoon it can be tough to find a seat! They had great beer and some light snacks. They also had a restroom available to customers. I got the red beer and the cherry pie. Both were quite good. There were some buskers there putting on a fire street show while we where there which was fun. You go up to the counter and order your beer/snacks/soda there and then take it to your table - no waitstaff! So make sure you find your own table and clean up after yourself! They also do a pfand for the glasses, so your beer costs and extra euro or two and then when you return the mug you get it back. That is good incentive to clean up after yourself! Enjoy this spot, it's close to the castle and quite nice.

The girls working were very patient with my language barrier and helpful with tea choices. Although there's not much seating, we were able to squeeze into a corner. There's plenty of outdoor seating which would have been great to utilize if the weather cooperated. I loved the details in the decor. There were many books stored in spaces and coins hidden in the ceiling. Such a charming little gem with great coffee!
