When I'm making dinner she doesn't play with dolls she practices her jumping on her hobby horse. She was given a hand me down bouncy horse and spends hours 'riding'. Trouble is, no one wants to actually put a five year old on a live animal. Five year olds, especially girls, are really still very little. Their legs are too short to reach the stirrups, they don't have muscle strength in their thighs to grip, and if the horse bolts they will go flying, because they simply aren't strong enough to control the big animals. I spent a lot of time asking and googling, and trying to find anyone who does riding classes for kids under 7, and finally I came to the end of my long journey at Clarion Farms. Carly, the sweet owner of the school, works with as many as 15 of these little budding equestrians at any time, as well as running a summer camp for young riders. She keeps some very mellow ponies and undersized helmets on site, and she really understands how to work with very young kids. A one hour class consists of saddling, including grooming the pony, leading it to the ring, 15 minutes of riding on a long lead, then brushing the horse down and cleaning tack. Perfect! I do highly recommend Carly to any parent who has a little kid who wants nothing but to get onto a horse. I wish she wasn't so far away from us, and the drive does make it impossible to get there more than a few times this summer, but it is so worth it for the happiness I can see on Ruby's face when she is on the pony!

In tri county the athletics participation is very low but here it is incredibly high, ok congratulations but very few people feel as if they're getting the right education there. Also I see many people getting in trouble because of conflict, administrators immediately respond to the fight and identify the people. But any harassment or discrimination is ignored. Also I have found evidence that the stats of my school are being bloated and outdated. FHS claims to be the 7th best public school in Massachusetts at the current time, when on greatschools.com 14 reviews gave FHS 2.4 stars for average when tri had a 4.8 average for 4 reviews. Showing FHS gloats about their ratings and back in the 90's FHS was the 2nd best public school according to niche.com and has been slowly declining now to the 12th. Why has FHS's place been declining down the list? Quite simple actually. Even though this is a public school it is still way too curriculum based. Don't tell me you don't have enough money to give us good classes I see you guys with 200 security cameras, several flatscreen TVs displaying your logo 24/7, and an exterior worth 10's of millions of dollars so don't tell me you don't have enough money for better classes. Also you give us very little insight on what classes we have until we actually have them, and by the time we find out wether their good courses or not it's too late to switch out considering your very vague on academics. Also let's talk about IEP students and the disrespect they get. First of all you guys have no obligation to take away classes they want just because they're on an IEP. All these students are vastly different and your not listening to the classes they want. Again your bloating your stats because you claim that your better at helping students with disabilities than tri but it's actually the exact contrary. You make smart people feel stupid and down about themselves, you judge just on athletic performance, you also have a prejudice against non athletic students. Also I laughed when you guys said that you individualized IEP and special needs students because it's not true and you guys take YEARS to get even remotely close to some their needs. What can we say from this? You guys are out of control, tri is way better and you're leaving them in the dark and by the way I'm an FHS student . The students would actually be under control and stop vandalizing everything if you guys actually stopped accusing people and showed compassion then Mabie they would listen. I'm watching students getting brainwashed by the curriculum. So you guys like essays so much? Here's your fucking essay!

The gym is large and has a great upper level walking track around the outsite with a view over that part of the facility. There is a remarkably well equipped weight room too. Pretty nice place to go to school!
