We have been a Franklin KinderCare family for a month now and we could not be happier. With three…read morekids 4 and under requiring daycare, our needs are vast and diverse - and crazy expensive. But KinderCare has proved worth it. KinderCare was the sixth place I toured when trying to find a place that could take all three kids, but most importantly a single place that I felt could care for my infant as well as two toddlers. Walking around with Sarah, the center director, I was struck by how she knew every kid in every room, and they knew her. There's a tremendous warmth to this place and that starts with Sarah and her amazing staff who all enjoy children. KinderCare does not have the technology that most places have that show to-the-minute updates on when your kid eats, sleeps, etc. My personal opinion is that those features are really just a crutch for daycares that perhaps place more value on "checking in" on the app than connecting with my kids. At KinderCare, I know that my kids are *seen.* They're not boxes on an app that need to be checked. We call daily to see how our kids are doing, and always appreciate how patient and accommodating Sarah and the team are in sharing those updates. The wonderful teachers hug our children, they support them, help them through hard days, and celebrate their accomplishments. The biggest endorsement for this place came from my 4 y/o. Maybe week three of their being in daycare, I go to pick up the kids. Upon seeing me, my daughter says, "Mom, why are you here?!" I figured she may want to go home after nine hours, but not so when she's enjoying her friends and teachers. Such a good feeling! We couldn't be happier with our decision to become a KinderCare family at this really, really special facility!

At that time when she started, she was 4.5 months old. I was scared at first due to COVID, but quickly noticed that they were taking great precautions. I felt safe knowing she was in good hands. Since January, I am truly impressed with the outstanding care she is receiving from Miss Lorie and Miss Angela. The teachers keep me up to date with how she is doing developmentally all the time. I introduced the sippy cup recently, and the teachers were very happy to continue to help her practice using it while at school. They figured out a nap and feeding schedule that I can adhere to on the weekends. Everyone has been very responsive to my questions, and get back to me in a timely manner. My daughter comes home clean every day. I am very impressed that everyone knows my husband and I by name. I see how everyone interacts with my daughter and it warms my heart. I feel comfortable leaving her here knowing she is going to be well cared for. Not to mention, they still do a lot of activities with families after school despite COVID. Right near Valentines's Day, they had a Sweetheart Dance that we attended on Zoom. It was so nice to see families dancing, singing, and listening to stories. The teachers are really attentive and at the end of the day the kids at all different ages get to interact with each other in their central area/atrium. The environment reminds me of my childhood when I got to play with cousins who are older and younger than me. All the teachers are very enthusiastic with the children's learning and I love how they always do art activities. They have plenty of room for kids to run around and plenty of toys (sensory, interactive and fun). Sometimes I pop in the middle of the day to say hi! and I see the teachers reading books to the kids (even to the babies!). They provide breakfast, snacks and drinks but you have to pack your own kid's lunch. They provide the baby wipes but you have to provide your own diapers and butt cream. BYO sunblock as well (and whatever other lotion you want them to slather on your child). They also brush your kid's teeth which is pretty cool. BYO sleeping mat/bag for toddlers but they do have cribs for the crawlers and babies. They have a long waiting list so I highly recommend getting your child's name in the list right away. The new facility is excellent, being very bright and sunny, with plenty of space in each classroom, a large common area for kids to interact, and a sizable outdoor area. The common area is a great feature for families with multiple children enrolled, as it provides an opportunity for siblings to interact which isn't typical of center-based care. This area also allows interaction between the children and other teachers, which helps to facilitate transitions between classrooms. The staff is also very supportive of parent preferences, including special food brought from home and cloth diapers.
