However, I was asked to send an email with pictures of everything that I had as it got closer to the moving day, which is exactly what I did! I had a lot of stuff and I sent videos and pictures of all of it. When the crew showed up, they brought a small truck with only three people. They end up having to call more people and get another which in the end costed me an extra $1700 on top of my quote. Things were broken $5000 bed ruined $1500 hutch chipped legs broke off. Then when they went to go put the stuff garage because we couldn't get into the they put the stuff for the in the far back corner of the garage the stuff from the basement around that and then the stuff from all of the around so it literally took us seven days just to get to the box with sheets in the very back of the garage! The whole time the only thing that these guys were worried about was how long they were going to have to work that day! When I texted the number to tell them that I was unpleased with the service, the owner or manager, they really didn't specify. Then told me that they would give me $200 for all of my broken Christmas stuff and totes, but instead of compensating me, they would come and pick up my bed to fix it the China hutch or they would give me $.60 a pound!! for the bed they may be giving me 600 bucks if they follow through I still haven't heard back from them!! I moved in a month ago! I do not recommend this company! Everything was botched the crew didn't communicate with Office or vice versa. Nothing was treated with respect and then at the very end after all of this, they pretty much have told me that they have no intentions of compensating me for the total amount of damages!!

They actually reduced our cost from the original estimate because we didn't use as much space as we thought we would. Our furniture arrived intact and very little movement inside the trailer. The only draw back: we had to wait an additional 4 days for our furniture due to a late scan at our local facility and those we missed scheduling the drop off by 2 hours (the computer updated at 9pm on Friday when the shipment came in that afternoon and the call center closed at 8pm. Thus we had to wait Saturday Sunday and into Monday morning before we could get our stuff scheduled for delivery on Tuesday instead of Wednesday. Their storage fees, when delivery is postponed are reasonable, especially compared to companies that unpack your goods into their warehouses for holding. My only caution would be to know when you send your truck to the destination state, if that state changes, you may incur a state-to-state relocation fee (mine was $500 and I was unaware of this. All around, the dispatchers, sales staff, drivers, and referred loading staff were all very professional, prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend UPack.

Beware! We used them to load a truck for an out of state move. The guys showed up on time, were nice and got to work. We had no problems with them on a personal level. It's the skilled level, we know know, was lacking. While loading they did ruin a custom piece of furniture by standing on it...the top caved in. This was the end of packing. For most of the job they had a special 'packer' who just stayed in the truck and packed it. I questioned some of his practices but he said things would 'be fine' and 'he'd been doing this a long time.' When they were done we tipped each mover $20 and thought that "THEY" seemed confident enough that the truck was packed correctly so we breathed easy feeling that things were good. NOPE! First off, things were NOT fine. After they left we found two long pieces of furniture that were parts to larger furniture sets tucked behind our furnace. (The furnace room had stairs that lead to the garage.) It seems they just got tired of carrying stuff and shoved it back there. Luckily, we were able to put them in the small trailer we took. But we did have to rent a larger trailer to accommodate these two pieces. When we arrived at our destination our professional movers here were shocked at the truck and how it was packed. We had SO MUCH DAMAGE. I sat there as they pulled piece after piece of wood and leather furniture out with huge gashes in it, ripped and torn. The 'packer' had put a large lateral 4 drawer filing cabinet on it's back and piled stuff on top. The drawers of the cabinet caved in. Who does that? It should have been sitting up. Our leather headboard, which we saved months for, is ruined forever. It looks like they just wanted to get everything in the truck and didn't care how they did it. They didn't care because we'd be across the country and not in the area. They just wanted to get paid . BEWARE....they don't have insurance to cover damages. Only while they were there.

I worked with Dan the Moving Man a subsidy of The Moving Company. Although their price was great,…read moretheir customer service was lacking. Some of the breakdown was in communication, for example, I booked the move and then a week later was contacted to see when I was going to book for, and it turned out my appointment had been deleted. I had already sent the deposit. There also was miscommunication on times, I was told it would be 4 guys for 4 hours to load me up, but instead it was 2 guys for 8 hours. This makes planning difficult. Last, I went with the company because it was pointed out that although it is about $500 more than hiring one team to load a semi (U-Pack) and then have a different team unload, all of the liability was on the one team. Well, that's fine, but then something should have been done about the damages that happened in the process. My freezer had a dent and scratch, my nightstand was broken and another folding table had a dent in it. I didn't even get an apology or a call to make it right. I would have been better off saving the $500 as there was nothing done regarding the "all the liability is on us" approach.

I had many damaged items as well as numerous missing items . They claimed one of the trucks broke down and the items in it had to be moved from one truck to another . I am not sure I believe it because I was not told about it until the truck arrived a day late .They don't even have their own fleet of trucks . I was charged for boxes I purchased myself and charged twice for the move . I did contact them several times in regards to the issues that I had to no avail but they claimed to refund some of the cost and I never saw a refund applied to my payment which was debited from my account before the move was completed and again afterwards. I would NEVER use this company again or recommend them to anyone even my worst enemy. I would have given a minus 10 rating on this but this was not an option
