I want to start by saying they are very good about caring for their patients. One thing that needs improvement is their form of communication. Not only are hold times a bit long, but there is an inconsistency with who you talk to. You will be answered by a customer service rep who will then transfer you to a location of your choice. I received a call from them asking for me to call them back. Once I did, I spoke to one of these reps who then tried to connect me to the Lee's Summit location. The rep was with a patient so she left a note on my file to call me. I still don't know if I'll get a call back. But I don't want to wait for another 20 minutes on the phone to speak to someone. I got there at around 8:00 am and waited for 7 hours to get a covid test. Its been 7 days since my test and I still do NOT have any results. The front desk staff was rude as hell. I think I'd rather bleed out that go back to this place. read more

Had a spider bite that was so painful they're assessment was a pinched nerve and wouldn't look at the puncture wound , slow to see a Dr. And more $$ than a general practitioner. Stronger pain receiver should have been given too I was incapicicated by the pain read more

If you're thinking about going here.... Don't. Walk-in wait time was unrealistically long. I can't believe I actually sat there for as long as I had to before being seen. Easily over an hour and a half; the place was not "busy" at all. Would have given it a 2-star rating because the employees were seemingly nice, but the insane wait time outweighed any good feelings I previously had about this location. This facility was recommended to me by someone I trust and it's closer than where I would have gone. No cars were in the lot. I walked in and saw no smiling faces but they got me back quickly. I thought I had Strep and the nurse took a culture. The nurse practitioner, Alysse I think was her name came in. No introduction. Poor bedside. She said the culture was negative. And that I would be getting Prednisone to manage my swollen aching throat. I explained my symptoms and that antibiotics might better help. She was adamant that I didn't need them and stated it would unethical to prescribe. All I could say was okay. She was very terse and rolled her eyes on the way out as though it bothered her that I questioned her. Simply stated: No one touched me. My lymph nodes were not checked, which were swollen, nor were my sinuses. Staff were cold and my visit pretty much a waste of time. Four days later; I still feel like crap. Bypass this location. There's another urgent care ten minutes further away where doctors actually come in and talk to you. I wish I'd listened to myself and gone there. read more

I have used this location multiple times and have been very pleased with the professionalism displayed by all staff members. They have a beautiful waiting room and even provide coffee, water and soda for patients while they wait. Sometimes I'm just too sick to wait until I can get in with my primary care doctor, but not sick enough for the ER. So I come here instead. I check in online, and have never waited more than 30 minutes once I'm there. The doctors are pretty quick and get me in and out with the scripts I need. Always so much easier than an ER. read more

Went in there recently had a temp over 100.0and green drainage I know I had sinus infection..they did flu test strep test..xray..urine test..guess what all negative..they gave me 4 ibuprofen and told me to stay off work for the next 4 days..after being there for 2 hours...Dr.Davis is a joke..told me it was something viral infection wouldn't give me anything! I was very mad when I left feeling like they just stole my money..went to reg. Dr. Found out I have very bad sinus infection and got 2 rounds of antibiotics...don't waste your money or time on this place..I'm never going back..! read more

My significant other woke up in excrutiating pain and could barely walk. Having been on antibiotics, we didn't know if that was the cause or what. Knowing they may have to have several things done to figure out the problem, I suggested we try this place or otherwise it could be an all-day process and they were out of their mind in pain. Didn't know if x-rays, bloodwork, urinalysis, or what would be needed... The facility was clean and nice. We waited for a long time to be seen, despite the waiting room being empty. Don't know why that was. The treatment "rooms" were open, like you'd see in an emergency room, so everyone can hear what's going on with you. Didn't like that aspect. When a doctor finally came, she was young. Must have been right out of college. We explained about the severe foot pain and asked about the possibility of gout, even though it was not very swollen at all. Nothing else made sense given the sudden onset. I asked for them to confirm it with either a urinalysis or blood work and she told me they "don't have a lab". (NOTE: THEY DON'T HAVE A LAB--despite what the information online may say.) I said you're kidding me! I thought that's precisely the kind of service urgent care provides. No, she said we'd need to go to our physician. I asked about some other possible causes, given a recent tonsil infection and other medication they were on. The doctor acted very rushed and was not willing to discuss much else, again, saying we'd need to see our regular physician. We left with a high strength prescription for pain, despite not knowing if gout is what we were dealing with or not. Wasn't sure whether to get it filled, given how powerful it was. However, they were in so much pain we didn't have a choice and so we took our chances. Seems like a poor way to treat something, but apparently that's how it's done. Fast forward a month, I happen to see this info on Yelp about them having a lab. I decided to call the office and ask if they do or they don't. The gal tells me "yes, they have a lab". So do they or don't they???? After further questioning, I find out they actually do have a lab and CAN do urinalysis, despite what the doctor said. She said, however, they don't have a full-blown lab, that they can only run a couple of tests. So why does their advertising say they do and the doctor telling us they don't????? So be aware, if you think like I did that this facility would be able to do most testing if needed, they cannot. Also, if you have anything you suspect is an ILLNESS, don't bother coming here. They appear to only be equipped to handle broken bones, cuts, sprains, cold, flu, etc. That's it. read more

I have high expectations of health care providers as I work in healthcare myself. The X-ray tech as she titled herself, took my vitals and symptom information, which felt really weird to me. She wasn't very comprehensive and wasn't too warm and fuzzy. The NP was friendly and held conversation with me. She confirmed my suspicions of my infection and put me on an antibiotic, though it was not strong enough. I called the "customer service" number listed for this location and an awful representative answered the line. Completely unfriendly and informed me, "I'm not allowed to tell you if that provider is available." Ok... well I'm calling to follow up with the provider that the antibiotic isn't working and the dosing isn't sufficient. How am I otherwise supposed to get this information to the provider and get another medication? I explained go the woman what I was hoping for and she then said she could send them a message. Thanks? If this is customer service and they are abrupt and unhelpful, then what's the point. They've now ruined the decent interaction I've had with this urgent care. read more

We visited in February. My son had a gash in his lip and needed stitches. Rather than head to ER, I called Emergent Care Plus. The nurse visited with me on the phone and told us they could handle it becaue it was not considered a major cut. The physician was friendly and pleasant. She fixed him right up! They even dispense medication if needed for their patients. Very convenient, and this certainly was a cost savings to my own pocket as well as my employer's health plan! read more

Won't go back again. After sitting for almost 2 hours, I was told that they could not prescribe the medication I needed because they were only an Urgent care facility. Really wish I could recommend this place... but took my wife here on a Friday morning in really bad shape. Had no idea what was wrong with her, but she was so sick I drove her myself. Paid the $150 (eeek) copay and she was seen by a doctor, and given anti-nausea medication. 24 hours later, I took her to the ER, where she was admitted to ICU with diabetic ketoacidosis. I didn't know the symptoms of this illness at all, but in retrospect, her symptoms were all textbook perfect examples of this illness. Had they caught this, I probably wouldn't be looking at a $28,000 medical bill today, and she would probably not have come close to a coma. Very, very, very, very unsettling. read more

I went back to this Urgent Care for non stop headaches that I had for a week; that nothing helped. The doctor was completely honest and up front about how headaches can have numerous causes and its hard to pinpoint which one (I knew this, so I understood). He prescribed me a steroid to help. I never found a cause for the lasting headache, but the medicine did help and the doctor was very understanding. read more

If I could give less than 1 star I would. No tests which were performed there were ever sent out so no results could be determined. DON'T GO THERE. Great people - very professional and friendly. Check-in took two minutes literally for a first time visit. The whole visit took about 45 minutes from the time I walked in until I walked out the door. Prescription called into my local pharmacy. Doctor was great and explained what was going on in terms I could understand. Will definitely use them again! read more

Had an ear infection. They had me in and out in 20 minutes at the urgency room. Great team, great job, reasonable price.

They should post that they don't serve infants/toddlers. We took our 18 month old there and received quite a shock when they said his "vitals don't look strong" and that we should go to Children's Mercy. $800 later ($650 for Childrens and $150 for Emerg.) we were told to up his dose of Advil - he had a cold. Disappointed we weren't told this by the ECP staff....insult to injury was the bill we received. Might be better for adults but save yourself $150 and head straight to Children's Mercy if you have a sick kid. read more

Excellent speed and service! And you can reserve/check in ahead of time and then they send you a text when its 30 mins to your appointment - super simple and convenient. I went into NextCare Urgent Care located at 2741 NE McBaine Dr. In Lee's Summit, Mo. Chase greeted me when I walked in and was very courteous and prompt checking me in. The nurse escorted me back to an exam room and was thorough getting my vitals and initial symptoms. The trouble starts here. The doctor, Russ was adjusting room TVs and placing on the Kansas City Chiefs game that had just started. This did not seem important until later when he came into my room. At this time I was the only patient. He entered the room asked very few questions and I had to expand on the answer to get the information out that was pertinent to my condition. The doctor was very abrupt and stated that, "since there is no mechanism of injury, I have no idea what's wrong. Xrays cannot tell us anything so take an oral steroid and if not better in 7 to 10 days see your primary." He spent less than 2 minutes in the room and as he left I heard him ask, " That's the last one right." With this comment and the fact of not investigating the medical issue I had it appeared obvious that the staff was more concerned about the football game than the patient. Having a spouse that works in the medical field and being a trained first responder the lack of follow up service and care was extremely concerning. I paid a $50 copay and did not even get $50 in service. read more

Very disappointed my 4 year old was suffering from ear pain on a Monday evening so we gave it a shot walked in got right in to a room there was only 2 other rooms with people in them they were not busy we set and waited an hour and 15 minutes before the nurse came in she spent maybe 5 minutes in there then we waited almost 45 minutes before the doctor came in she spent a total 1 1/2 minutes in the room with my son and I and diagnosed him with a virus not even 12 hours later took him into his regular doctor and they diagnosed him with double ear infections I WILL NEVER take my family here again read more

I have been to this clinic 3 or 4 times. They are always fast and friendly! I'd much rather spend $35: on a copay than $5000 @ the ER. I love that they have actual MD'S and not just nurse practitioners. I also love that they have an x ray machine on site. read more

I visited Emergent Care just the other day. I had just gotten over a stomach virus and fever. The reason I came in was to have my throat checked out. It was inflamed, and as I later found out by second opinion, due to sinus drainage. The receptionist was fairly nice, as was the nurse that came into to check my blood pressure, heat rate, etc. I'm not sure who the next person was, I assumed she was the doctor, in unprofessional dress (sweatpants and a t-shirt). She checked out my ear and my throat as I tried to tell her my symptoms. She jumped right in to tell me that I had a throat abscess and I needed to go to the ER in the next day or so or I would die due to my throat closing shut. She said she had the same thing when she was 17 and she was an "expert". I will NEVER go here again. This isn't the first time I've gotten a misdiagnosis from the people here, but it will definitely be the last! read more

I was extremely sick and Doctor D. looked at me and said go to your primary care physician............complete waste of money!..... We stood more than ten minutes before acknowledged at the desk when we cane, and there was no line. Perhaps the front woman is having a bad day but for the first time in more than ten times seeking treatment we were treated very rudely. She is quite stressed to be training someone while receiving patients- but doesn't apologize for her rudeness or lack of attentiveness. Terrible experience!! Asked price on phone and was quoted $170-275, "depending on what they did in the back." They charged us $170 before they would even put us on the list to be seen. Grand total out the door ended up at $410!! Plus $125 worth of prescriptions. We have no insurance, and most places have a cash price they offer for people like us who don't make them deal with insurance companies.) After we were paid, and therefore unable to walk out, they let us sit for at least 65 minutes (according to their records), then took us back for evaluation. My daughter was sick with walking pneumonia, which we knew from her symptoms and several combined previous experiences - deep rattling cough, night sweats, shortness of breath. The nurse came in and said she was going to swab her nose for a flu test - didn't ask or inform us that each of the two q-tips was going to cost us an additional $55. Nurse didn't write down half of what we told her, including the fact that my daughter had a previously existing ulcer, so we needed to be careful what we gave her. Then the nurse-practitioner came in, spent 2 minutes with us, said it was a "bacterial sinus infection," and gave us a prescription for 2 medications - an antibiotic and a steroid - both of which are known to CAUSE ULCERS, according to drugs.com. My daughter asked her if she might possibly have viral pneumonia instead, and the practitioner told her, "It could be, but it doesn't matter, since we'd treat it with the same meds anyway." Same meds for a virus as a bacteria?? Oh, and we never found out results of the "swab test" that cost us $110, either. On the way out the door, they charged us another $235, for a total of $410!!!! For 2 minutes with a nurse-practitioner!!! Who didn't listen to us!!! And when someone wonders if they have pneumonia, don't they even get offered a chest x-Ray anymore? Turns out my daughter has a cracked rib from her coughing. Felt like we were in the cattle chute, for sure! Oh, and the prescription was another $125! NEVER again, urgency room!! read more

First off I don't typically review places but I feel this place needs a disclaimer. I am a nurse and I know healthcare workers are sometimes the toughest critics but my goodness some of your staff needs to be trained. I took my son up there a week or so ago for URI symptoms. The Dr elected to get a chest x-ray. Now its never good when you have to tell the person taking the xray to put a lead shield on your child. The tech then had to do several repeats to get the proper imaging. She apologized and said sorry I don't usually take x-rays. "What! Why are you doing it then?!!" I didn't say anything at the time becasue she genuinely seemed sorry and uncomfortable with the situation and I did feel for her. The more I thought about it the more upset I got becasue I just feel this is a very irresponsible way to practice medicine and I don't think I will be going back. read more

Do not take your kid under the age of four to get a flu shot it will cost you $50 unlike what they tell you $25. For that age it is a two part shot and you have to pay $25 each time that is ridiculous and I will not be going back to this place ever again they should tell you before you get the first part that in total it will be $50. I feel misled. It's sad because the lady at the front and the lady that gave the shot we're both very nice people not $50 worth though. read more
