It just shows how large the territory used by the Nez Perce was (and when you look at the size of their reservation now, sadly how small and confined they are now). There's a museum at the park headquarters which goes into the culture of the Nez Perce and how it was changed and evolved with the introduction of horses, white settlers, and to the present. If you're also looking into the history of the region, one stop is Canoe Camp, where the Nez Perce helped Lewis and Clark by feeding them and to carve the canoes that took them to the Pacific Ocean Captains. The Corps of Discovery spent more time among the Nez Perce than any other group they encountered in their journey, and entrusted them with their horses and gear as they embarked on their final leg of their journey to the Pacific Ocean.

" A Historical House in it's Original Condition "…read more My wife and I visited the Hertitage House in Lewiston, Idaho last week and enjoyed our tour.The Heritage House was built in 1896-1900. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as Nutting House, as the Nutting family lived in the house in the 1920's and operated the nearby Laundry. The name was changed to Heritage House in 1987 to indicate its significance, as the last remaining representation of historic domestic building in downtown Lewiston. The Heritage House is owned and managed by the Nez Perce County Historical Society which is right next door for the Heritage House.

I'm so proud of myself for driving up to Anatone. Honestly, I think I am becoming slightly afraid…read moreof heights as I get older because as I traveled up to Anatone I got a little uneasy. It's just when I can't see the horizon and you come over a ridge and it looks like you're going to drive off a cliff. Needless to say when you get to Anatone, it feels like you're on top of the world. It is super major windy up there too, which seriously didn't help my "problem". This little post office fits the needs of the little farm town. Lovely scenery around, very safe. If you don't get depth perception fits, enjoy the scenery as you drive up and then down the mountain to get to Anatone.

They do primarily vehicle licensing but do not do driver licensing. The picture posted is also misleading because it's of the driver licensing facility, though the address is for licensing etc. The folks at licensing etc are friendly and professional as long as you are friendly and professional with them. But they also have very strict rules they have to meet and can't just overlook their requirements because you have some weird exception, and I have seen them absolutely shut down people who are being rude to them, rightfully so. If you go in there with a professional attitude, you will receive it back. If they need something else from you it's because the state requires it, not because they do.

THEY GOT MY LICENSE SUSPENDED!!!!! Because of this office I now have an imperfection on my driving…read morerecord! I got married had my social changed, went to get my driver's license and they were very rude and short with me. I got a letter stating my license would be suspended in 2 weeks because my social did not match my new drivers license. I went in immediately to replace and show that my social matched. The lady said she corrected everything on her end and that I would be good to go and got my temp Enhance Drivers License. I HAVE NEVER BEEN IN TROUBLE IN MY WHOLE LIFE!!!! and now I called to check the status because my card enhanced license still has not come in from the 8th of September... and found it is suspended, the lady might as well have run her fingers back and forth on the key pad then charged me the fee. I NOW HAVE A SUSPENDED LICENSE AND WILL NOT BE ABLE TO DO MY JOB OR ANYOTHER LIKE IT BECAUSE OF THIS ON MY RECORD!!!!

I think this is one of the coolest libraries I've ever been in. It's in an old hardware building…read more Very artsy. It may not have a lot of books, but it's part of a huge group of libraries so you can search and place a book on hold you want to read. They also have little rooms and sections of the library for people to use for meetings and such. They have some classes you can sign up for as well. I love this place.
