I don't get the review-love for this post office.
Let's start at the beginning: the parking lot for this post office is very small and very poorly laid out. You can get stuck on the roadway waiting for grandma to pull out of the front space so that some guy in a big truck can get off of the single-lane curbs and park in two to three spaces. When you leave, you'll be holding up traffic!
Inside the service area also has a traffic flow problem. There's no way to stand in line without blocking the doors. There's no way to leave the counters without running into the line and folks trying to come in through those same doors.
The employees are standard postal employees - exactly as helpful as they need to be to get you out of their line, they move at the pace they chose. Some are fast, some aren't. Some are friendly, some really aren't.
There's always a line here for services, so don't expect to pop in and out quickly. You're going to stand there for a while, wondering how long, exactly all of those stacks of mail have been around the service counter.
For alternatives, I'd suggest anywhere but the A Street Post Office.
It's a post office - stop in if you must to drop off a package or send something certified. Otherwise, you might want to just print your postage online and drop it in your neighborhood box. read more
