But, this park is beautiful and well-maintained with lovely walking bridges, well-kept roads, plenty of parking, and miles of walking trails. This is where you'll visit the lookouts for Bridal Veil Falls, Cave of the Winds and the Terrapin Point lookout for the Horseshoe falls in the US. The visitor center and complex for the ticket purchase and gift shop for the Cave of the Winds is nice and there is a statue of Nikola Tesla as well as an original historic preserved gate to the original hydroelectric plant here. There is plenty to see and do here in an afternoon and it is time well spent.

You will need your passport and still do need to go through customs (for some reason some people think that you walk you won't have to). Driving can often have waits, but they seem to not be as bad as some of the other bridges are. Probably because this is more of a tourist bridge than commuter (since the others attach directly to the highways). If you are traveling to Canada and want some great falls views, this is a great bridge.

There are so many options here. You can walk along the Niagara Parkway from Table Rock Centre through Queen Victoria Park. The views constantly change and the walk provides some of the best photo opportunities. You can opt for the Journey Behind the Falls to stand in tunnels carved behind the rushing water, or take the cruise -- which I strongly recommend. A ride on Hornblower Niagara Cruises is one of the most memorable experiences in Niagara Falls. The provided poncho helps, but you should still expect to get drenched on any exposed areas as the boat approaches the base of falls. It felt like a monsoon! Also, be prepared for substantial parking charges. $30 for 30 minutes -- outrageous! I also suggest making time to see the falls after dark. The nightly illumination creates an entirely different experience, and on fireworks nights (around 10 p.m. beginning in May) it is quite the spectacle. Bring a light jacket or sweater even during summer. The constant mist and evening breezes near the falls can make temperatures feel noticeably cooler than elsewhere in the city. And drive north along the Niagara Parkway toward Niagara-on-the-Lake if time allows. The route follows the river through attractive landscapes and historic sites.
