Setting aside the slightly high price tag for the entire course, Smile Solutions does offer a great experience for what is usually an uncomfortable process. Since I've been visiting about 1.5 years ago, I've always had top notch customer service from these guys! One minor down side is that this is a huge establishment with a large team of dentists, orthodontists, and support staff, and rather packed schedules. As such, I've dealt with numerous hygienists and dentists (thank god my orthodontist has been the same!). This is mitigated by the fact that every one of the staff members I've dealt with are highly professional and deliver knowledgeable and amazing service! The Manchester Unity building is also one of the most beautiful refurb Art Deco buildings I've seen in Melbourne and Smile Solutions does a great job preserving the authenticity of this building while providing a comfortable environment!

It's a very relaxing space set up on the first floor of the historic art deco historic Manchester Unity Building in the CBD...it's worth a visit just to see the architectural features of this building! This is one fancy office. And yes, the other Yelpers are correct.... the lobby does smell like vanilla. My dentist and hygienist were both professional and did their genuine best to reduce any pain/discomfort. I had to get one of my fillings replaced, and opted to go with a porcelain filling, which they molded on site. It was a definite state of the art experience...this was the first practice I've been to that used cerec fillings...they digital scan your teeth to determine the shape of the filling and then 5 to 10 minutes later the filling is complete and ready to be placed in your mouth....no more sending a mold out to a lab, no temporary fillings, you're in and out quickly! The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 stars is the price. It's very expensive though I guess that's the cost of going to a Collins Street dentist.

I had had braces as a teenager but after not wearing my plate, my bottom teeth had crowded up again and I wasn't happy with how 'flat' my top teeth looked so in my late twenties I decided to have braces again and I'm glad I did. I saw Peter in Frankston as well as in his city rooms as I worked close by. I had braces on for 20 months and it was relatively pain free. The staff there were always friendly and helpful and the fee was tailored to fit within my budget. I recommended him to three of my friends and they were all thrilled with the great results. He adopts state of the art technology at his practice and has a network of respected and esteemed specialists in Melbourne which placed me in the hands of one of the best Periodontal surgeons in the state. My husband required complicated extractions and jaw surgery. Dr Paino was available outside of business hours on his personal mobile to provide support to my husband late at night when he was extremely unwell after being released from hospital. Last month my son was due to fly interstate but was unwell with an infection related to wisdom teeth. We messaged Dr Paino on a Saturday night to seek his advice and he immediately responded and provided a telehealth appointment and arranged for a script to be sent to a 24 hour chemist. This meant our son was well enough to travel a few days later. We can't thank him enough for his expertise, kindness and willingness to provide such out of scope help and support without expecting anything in return. He is not only an excellent practitioner but someone very special who treats his patients like family. We can't thank or recommend him highly enough.

I have been a long time customer of Angle House having had braces when I was younger, however I've not returned in 8+ years and do not plan to after today. I received a 'consultation' today for a wire behind my teeth which has snapped, this consultation involved no introduction followed by Dr Kataria thrusting his hands into my mouth unannounced and then proclaiming that I had two options, one of which was $70 and one which was $150 and 'which one did I want?' - no explanation of long term benefits or side effects of either treatment. I elected for the more affordable treatment for the time being and before I could take a breath, Dr Katarias hands were once again inside my mouth but this time with a filing tool which shook my existence. He poked and prodded for all of 20 seconds, asked me how it felt and that was it. Having entered with a sunny disposition, I felt physically violated and angry after this experience, so much so, that I called my Mother who explained she had received similar treatment from Dr Kataria and has since found a nicer, more professional ortho to deal with. The only thing that improved this service was the lovely experience with Margie the receptionist who has been with this clinic for over 10 years and remembered me after all this time - so much love for Margie!
