Best icecream ever! As I am vegan, I convinced my two friends to eat ice at Nicecream... As we were only visiting Copenhagen for three days, I did not prepare too many places to eat, but Nicecream was on my bucket list We had the ice-brownie-sandwich, to times Chocoholic and one of us took Minty. Even the non-vegan friends stated, that this was the best (or at least one of the best) icecream they ever had. Next time I visit Copenhagen, I will definitely have another ice at Nicecream.

Goodness me! I had not expected to love this tiny hole in the wall place and their simple (so far) lollipop style, organic vegan icecream THAT much! Simplicity with attention to details and flavours go a long long way. We had raspberry/liquorice and strawberry/toffee on the first visit and it was love at first creamy flavoursome bite. We had to return next day and then we had chocolate/peanutbutter (my favourite with crunchy peanut bits) and triple chocolate cookie sandwich. Stunning, creamy not overly sweet icecream full of flavours. You certainly don't have to be vegan to realise this place is a winner!

Horchata and Bounty. Mmmmm so good!

Coming from New York my go to vegan ice cream shop is Van Leuwann and I have to say I cheated on them with something maybe even a tad better. I liked how the consistency was velvety and light at nice cream. They have really fun flavors and at the moment a horchata special which was my fave. The girl working there was very nice and provided the perfect vegan treat for exploring the city. I wish we had this in ny!

Had to wait 10 minutes for the person working to come out from the back. Strange. The ice cream was good texture wise but all flavors tasted overwhelmingly of coconut. Overpriced as well.

Came across Nicecream while scouring yelp for vegan dessert and I was not disappointed in the least. I got the cookie sandwich with coffee ice cream and it was hands down some of the best ice cream (vegan or otherwise) that I've ever had. The only reason I didn't give 5 starts was that the cookies themselves were rather overcooked instead of chewy, as advertised. I'd highly recommend making the trip, just would suggest sticking with a classic cup or cone.

Had this place on my long list of go-to's and finally made it today fueled by my never-ending hunt for an acai bowl in the city. To my disappointment, they were not serving acai bowls when I arrived, although their menu seems to say otherwise. After a brief pout I landed on their strawberry toffee nice-pop. Although a vegan treat, the creaminess of the pop is wonderful and the sweet bits of toffee inside were a delight. The pop itself was an elevated strawberry and cream masterpiece that left me satisfied. They have many other flavors on hand including some vegan ice cream sandwiches that I hope to give a try next time. Great place and cool concept although I am still craving my acai bowl.

We'd be stupid to pass this up. Going in, you notice the vibe is very much the same as gelaterias in Italia and Europe, except you're in Copenhagen and the fact that they have licorice ice cream reminds you you are in Scandinavia. But first, I had to try the almond and pistachio. If you were to witness perfection in an ice cream flavor, these two would send you to heaven and back. It did me. It doesn't get any better, the simplicity of flavor is present yet addicting. I've had pistachio and almond in the North and South of Italy and know these flavors very well. The almond and pistachio were on point and authentic. Came back to try these separately. So, on a whim I had a taste of the licorice and immediately knew I had to have it right then and right away. I always thought there's no way I'd enjoy licorice, only Scandinavians have a taste for them. As a visitor, I am in love of this flavor and this flavor made here. Since I had a choice of two flavors, I opted for 1/2 licorice and 1/2 Zuppa Inglese because I thought these 2 would dance well together in my cup.... And that, they did. A taste of the licorice ice cream gave me a taste of brown sugar, malt, bitter anise, honey, cream, salt, sweet, beer, and a touch more bitter but in such a developed combination that I froze for a minute to appreciate. To add to that, the tiny specks of licorice, of the finest variety, added that chew to the gelato that made me gasp it was sooooo good. After this experience, I opine that Siciliansk's profound licorice gelato is better than Paradis' (the other ice cream place I love that serves licorice). Contrasted this flavor with their finely made Zuppa Inglese, I found a taste discovery never experienced, perhaps a new favorite combo. Finally, I like to wait until gelato melts as the final gauge to the quality, cream and purity. When both gelati melted the licorice with the Zuppa Inglese was perhaps the most memorably delicious combo I've had. Can't have this anywhere. I guess I'd have to wait until I get back to experience this again. To be repeated. Will be back to try other flavors. Flavors: Licorice 5 ++stars Almond 5 stars Zuppa Inglese 5 stars Pistachio 5 stars. Visits: 2 Tip: They run out of flavors, (almost missed out on the almond) towards dinner time 5-6pm so best to get your ass there earlier. They give tasters.

The ice is of high quality, and you can really taste the good raw materials used. The flavours are inspired by the great Italian island Sicily. You can by the ice cream at a small counter in Kølster 12 haner. The small counter with only about 10 flavour, and bad cooling capacity is why I can't give more than 4 stars. If you want a bigger batch of ice cream, you can also buy that.
