    Prenzlauer Berg

Clean, attractive and close to the underground!…read more The apartments are very close to the Senefelderplatz underground stop which was ideal for seeing the rest of the city. It's in the Prenzlauer Berg district which is full of good bars, shops and interesting places. So location for the apartments are great. Prices are also pretty good but I wasn't in charge of this. After a friendly welcome and some info from the man on the desk we made our way upstairs to the Sabicas apartment, all of the apartments are named after Spanish composers. This apartment has 2 twin rooms with a large kitchen/dining area. There was also a double bed to the side of the sitting area that we made use of. So with 4 of us that meant the 2 snorers were able to separate off, bonus! There was also a clean bathroom with a bath/shower and plenty of fresh, white towels. The bathroom window was unusual as it wasn't frosted and was opposite a building site but it did have a curtain to stop blushes! There's a small lift which is handy when you're on the top floor as we were. The office for the apartments is on Schonhauser Allee just past the cornershop. The shop was great actually as it stays open til 11pm. It's a small grocery shop plus deli with sandwiches, pastries, coffee, etc so we went there for 2 or 3 breakfasts as it was so handy. All the Old Town apartments staff I met were very helpful. I'd happily stay here again.

I was looking around about where to stay in Berlin, I wanted someplace centrally located that was within walking distance to certain things like Cafes or a city tram and sure enough, this place was it. Old Town Apartments was all of that and then some. When I went to check in, I was relieved and amazed by the amazing customer service we received, they filled us in on the best places to eat and where the sites were. When we got to the apartment...OMG!! It was huge! I ask for a two bedroom but never thought it would look what we saw. My sons got to sleep in their own rooms, not to mention the two other adults got their own rooms and I too got my own room! SIX SINGLE BEDS!!!! The bath tub was awesome! Big and perfect for the kids nighttime bath which made warming up from our nightly walk so much nicer. This is an awesome place, I would stay here again for sure!!!

    Charlottenburg

I found this hotel on, of all places, Hotels.com, and boy, am I glad I did!…read moreWe don't spend much time is our room when traveling; but that doesn't mean we want to stay somewhere sleazy. I looked into this hotel for funsies, and was surprised to find that the location AND the price were right. Also, it looked a bit funky, and we definitely liked that! Located in the Charlottenburg district of Berlin, it wasn't too far from the things we wanted to see in Berlin, and besides, the German transit system is pretty awesome, so it wouldn't have mattered where we stayed, anyway, really. The hallway on our floor was covered in a dark gray? black? paint with stylish sconces covered in maroon and beige fringe outside each room. It gave the hallway a moody look that I really liked. Inside our room, was a small kitchen. I hesitate to say kitchenette, as there was a dining table with seating in it, and everything basically that you would want in a kitchen, including dishes and utensils. An open counter divided it and the living area where there was a small loveseat and puffy chair. They faced the tv, which created a "wall" behind which was the bed. Everything about the room was comfortable, and housekeeping took good care of us. The hotel is located near the Opera House and the Bismarckstrasse underground stop was maybe 100 feet away. I would definitely stay here again. Although on a slightly busy road, we heard none of it. 83/2025

So far, 10 reviews and a 5 star average, I have to agree! They thought of everything, even when…read morewe didn't! The European SIM cards we picked up for our phones allowed data, but calls weren't working, had we checked our email, we would have had their instructions to get in after hours, (reception closes at 7pm). We got lucky and got in, but be sure to check your email if you're checking in and they're closed. Our room (the cozy corner) was actually a well equipped small apartment designed for extended stays. We were very comfortable during our stay, and the ladies at the front desk were friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. They even have a place to do laundry, but we didn't make use of it. The hotel rates were very reasonable. There's a key drop near the reception desk if you're leaving early before they open. Location was perfect! It was safe and only a few meters from the Bismarckstrasse (train stop), so getting around town was easy once we got familiar with the trains, also getting to the airport was easy and only took about a half hour, ( one train and one bus ride). Would stay here again if returning to Berlin.
