If you are visiting or just passing through Hanna, I recommend Nick's for your meal stop. There really aren't a lot of choices in this small community and the pandemic seems to have ended the business of a coffee shop. We had resigned ourselves to a fast food chain when we spotted Nick's Family Restaurant. It's spacious and they seem to take the pandemic seriously with hand sanitizer and tables spaced out. A lot of rural businesses only have the signs up and do little else. The staff at Nick's are doing things right regarding Covid-19. I ordered a basic hamburger and my partner ordered a chicken cordon bleu sandwich and both upgraded to the yam fries. Those were likely the best yam fries that I've ever had, not that I order them all that often. Our sandwiches and burger were both good and very good value considering the price. Every Friday or Saturday usually, it is pay day and you know what that means. Time to get some food baby. My usual order is a cheese pizza with some french fries and I would say fairly expensive but really worth it. The food there in Nick's is very good and let me tell you by explaining the pizza. The cheese taste delicious on top with the sauce adding a great flavour to your taste buds, and the crust? Oh boy, the crust has a perfect crunch to it and makes it one of the reasons why you should buy it. The french fries now. The french fries sometimes are a bit to salty but it really doesn't matter at the end which the taste combined with the thingy MABOPPERS GOD DAMN. I do recommend this place to y'all. DO NOT GO HERE!!! When I am travelling to Saskatchewan through Hannah I used to always go to this restaurant because it had the best hot beef sandwiches. Whenever going to Saskatchewan we would always make a plan to stop here on the way because the food was so delicious. We stop here once a year because we travel to Saskatchewan every year. Just last year even the food was delicious and the staff was so friendly that was serving us. Well... the ownership and the staff must have changed. We stopped here this year and it was the worst restaurant I have ever been to. The tsaff was not friendly and the food was beyond awful quality. We got the hot beef sandwiches again. They came out with 1 thinly sliced piece of meat and limited gravy on a piece of white plan wonder bread not toasted or golden brown or anything for $14... yeah imagine that! For an appetizer we got bruschetta. It came out served on white pizza dough with olive oil and a copious amount might I add.. spread on it and a tomato diced... that was it! A really nice place to eat if you happen to be in Hanna. There is a dining area and a bar area with VLTs and pool tables. The menu is quite extensive, with everything from Chinese food to pizza to burgers to diner standards like a hot turkey sandwich (which is what I had). The service is friendly and the prices are reasonable. My meal was a good portion of turkey with corn and fries, lots of gravy, and cranberry sauce. I especially liked the fries - they had a flavourful but mild spice mix on them. If I am ever in Hanna again, I would definitely pick Nick's to have a meal. read more

Food was okay, the atmosphere was what you could expect from a small town in Alberta - Hunters, old men and riggers. Staff was friendly enough. have VLTs, pool table and Juke box. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there but it works when ur staying in Hanna read more
