Short version: You want to meet these people. Full review: I've procrastinated writing this review. You know why? Because I'm a terrible salesperson and yet ALL I want to do is go door to door and explain to people why they should be booking Nicodem for all life events they want truly captured forever. I wouldn't even need to speak, just show these beautiful and honestly real pictures of one of the happiest days I'm my life. First- they take the time to get to know you! It wasn't just "so how did you meet?" (It was that too, because who doesn't like sharing that part?) but spent that extra time to learn about our lives and interests. They stayed in touch through the wedding planning process. They worked wonderfully with our planner. Any question I had? They either had the answer or could give us advice to decide it for ourselves. On our actual wedding day? There aren't words. I think at least half the wedding guests have told us how lovely they were to have around. We didn't feel watched, but instead often forgot we even were being photographed! They set clear expectations for when we'd receive our images and while waiting is the hardest part I'm so happy I did. The images are exactly right- they bring back the feeling of those specific moments (all 900+ of them!!). I feel beautiful, and I don't always love pictures of me. My one regret and advice to you- don't forget to ask for a picture WITH THEM! I can't believe I didn't ask for one, and wish I had. That's literally my only regret. One thing nobody ever tells you while planning a wedding is how much your photographers shape the day of your wedding. During the planning phase, I found myself "checking things off the list" as quickly as possible. After our first conversation with Marianne, we knew it was a perfect match- they were laid back and extremely talented- so we were happy to choose them and move onto the next thing on our list. As I look back at our wedding in December, I could not have imagined that day without them. When setting out to find a wedding photographer, as you do with most other services you pay for, you really just hope to find people who can take good photos for a reasonable fee. The Nicodems are priced moderately; but, the service they provide is nothing short of top-notch. The photos they took for us are timeless and bring my wife and me back to the magical day of our wedding instantly. But, it isn't just the photos that make their product. It's their personalities too. Andrew and Marianne are two of the easiest photographers to work with - especially for those of us who get awkward in front of the camera. Not to mention that my then fiancee (now wife) and I happened to enter into a lover's quarrel right before our Engagement Session with the Nicodems. It could have been a disaster if handled the wrong way. But, the Nicodems navigated us right past it and we were able to take (or fake? :P) some gorgeous E-Session photos.
