I cannot say enough about Dr. Gordon and her incredible staff. I'm new to the area and was referred to Dr Gordon by my dentist in San Francisco. From the moment you talk with Lisa at the front desk, you will know you're in the hands of a very well run and efficient dental office. Lisa explained what to expect and was extremely competent, courteous and professional. Next I met, Christy, the doctor's dental assistant, who took excellent care of me. Then I met Dr. Gordon who examined my teeth and identified a cavity/crack. Lisa was able to get me in to get this taken care of in record time! Kim, who cleaned my teeth was equally amazing. For Memorial Day weekend, my wife and I rolled into town and stopped to get some food on our way to the place we were staying for the weekend. At the end of my meal, I noticed that one of my molars had broken, and there was no way that I could enjoy my weekend, let alone eat, with a broken tooth. I called a couple of places, and Dr. Gordon's office, which was normally closed on Fridays, told me that they would squeeze me in. I had no idea who she was, nor did I know anything about her practice. In fact, when I first drove into the parking lot behind the drugstore, I was a bit hesitant, but desperate all the same. As it turned out, it was one of the most positive, if not *the* most positive, dental experience that I've ever had in my life. And I hate hate hate going to the dentist! My wife had an important phone call that she had to make for work, a conference call, that required her to have good Wi-Fi and a quiet room. They set her up so that she could make her call while I was being treated. Next, they took x-rays, photos, and filled the tooth in such a way that I could go through the weekend, and perhaps even a week, before I could get back to my own dentist and enjoy the weekend. Even a cleaning at the dentist would normally make me cringe, but this whole process, both with the doctor and her assistant, was truly exceptional, pain- free, and, dare I say, almost fun. And, no, I was not on the happy gas. As I left, they emailed me copies of my diagnostics and x-rays so that my dentist at home could see them, and then they charged me less than I would have paid even for a cleaning here at home. All of this with an amazing view to boot. The story doesn't end there. It turned out that the place we were staying for the busy holiday weekend was dark and smelled of cat pee. I happened to mention this on my way out the door, and the woman at the front desk proceeded to look up several different hotels, and even called them and made a reservation for us, along with our dog. I'm writing this at the end of a long, great weekend in Tahoe, all thanks to Dr. Gordon and her staff. I wish that I could switch dentists, and am seriously considering driving the three and half hours up to Tahoe to do so. Thank you, Dr. Gordon et. al.! read more

Honestly I am so less than impressed. This is the second (and final) time at this office. I waited for 15 minutes past my scheduled appointment today before the hygienist came to get me, and without any kind of apology for the delay. The first time I came to this office the hygienist was so rough that my teeth hurt for 3 days. I requested a different hygienist for today's appointment. She was more gentle, but the water sprayer kept malfunctioning and I ended up swallowing saliva and whatever had been scraped off my teeth because she was distracted. I have some sensitive areas at the gum line, and I will give her credit that she tried to be gentle. That was the only redeeming part of the appointment. The only thing the cleaning consisted of was the use of an ultrasonic scaler and flossing my teeth. No polishing, no brushing, no fluoride treatment, no nothing. For $99! And they know I have acid reflux so I really do need those things to help protect my already sensitive teeth. I have a tooth that was being "watched" from last time, she didn't test it or address it at all, just mentioned it. The part that upset me the most was that the dentist didn't even come over AT ALL! I only saw her at the checkout desk but it was only because she was standing there. No introduction, no asking how my teeth are, nothing. No interaction whatsoever. I am accustomed to a dentist (at least the ones in New Hampshire!) coming over and checking my teeth, checking the work of the hygienist and having at least some kind of interaction. I will not recommend this dental office to anyone, nor will I be back. read more

Dr. Gordon and her staff are amazing. I always feel welcome when I´m visiting them . They are all very friendly, professional and know what they are doing. I met Kelli she is super nice, kind, friendly and she made me feel comfortable. They are there to help and I never felt any pressure to buy the products they had to offer. I`ve always been scared of going to the dentist, but after the visit I feel comfortable doing back in the future. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Well five is not enough, I love her office staff, Jennifer who got me in this morning after a weekend of pain, Audre who took my exrays, Kelly who is great and Nicole who is patient, kind and had to tell me I needed a root canal. I am the biggest whimp in the dentist chair and she was great with me. She referred me to a specialist. Wonderful dentist, staff and office (the view is incredible!). Jan 2 at 4:00 pm Dr. Gordon took an emergency appointment for our young son, who we believed had knocked out his front tooth. Luckily his tooth was fine, but we were so happy to find an office that was open on a semi-holiday day and late on a Friday. If we lived in Tahoe, Dr. Gordon would be our dentist! read more

Great dentist! The staff there is awesome, very accommodating. Some dental offices have issues with filing insurance, I have never had a problem here. Plus you can look at the lake while you get your teeth cleaned! Bonus! They are good with kids too, I bring my 5 year old and 3 year old here too. They always look forward to the visit so that's a good sign. read more

My wife and I were visiting lake Tahoe for the first time on our honeymoon last week. On our first day there I noticed an abscess in my tooth that I've been dealing with for awhile was flaring up again (Good ol' Murphy's law strikes again). Knowing that the pain was going to soon take over me completely I knew I needed to find a dentist ASAP! Well, we had no idea where to go but decided to use Google/Yelp to look for good dentists in the area. We chose one but couldn't find the office and instead stumbled upon Dr. Gordon's practice (who also had good reviews). Let me tell you these ladies were fantastic. They we're very understanding and agreed to work me into their already full schedule to get me some treatment and then even gave me a discount to top it all off! They also took the time to give us some ideas as to what we should do while in Lake Tahoe. I can't believe what a great experience we had with Dr. Gordon's office and if I were living in that area I'd most definitely make them my regular dentist office. Don't be put off by the first impression of the outside of the office. It's a great place with a wonderful view of the lake and an amazing staff! read more

After seeing this Dr. for two years, I found a different dentist. I really hated every experience I had in her office. She ruined my tooth after having worked on it twice by over grinding it down, in my opinion. Now it hurts all the time and it didn't hurt before. On my first visit, she told me my gum loss was my "poor home care," which made no sense since I brush after every meal and floss every day and have done so for 40 years. She said it about 10 times, which was humiliating. Her hygienist took one look at my mouth and asked me, "Do you use a hard bristle tooth brush?" I said, "yes, I used a hard bristle tooth brush for a very long time when I was younger." Hmmm. The gum loss was actually aggressive cleaning rather than lack of cleaning. I also didn't like the overly intrusive personal questions. It's a dentist office, not Facebook. read more

Dr. Gordon is FANTASTIC! My husband, my 2 young kids, and I all go to her. The kids actually say "I want to go to the dentist so they can tickle my teeth!" She is great with kids but also professional and very knowledgeable about dentistry, preventative and finding solutions. The office is very clean and the staff are fabulous. The view is beautiful.
