I had a budget of about 1000$ so I just knew I'd find one. I did! It had no price tag on it anywhere. My husband very carefully started to lift the side to see if it was underneath. The owner I'm assuming, a wretched woman with silver hair, proceeded to treat us like toddlers. She rudely chastised him loudly. We don't pick that up! She yelled. He immediately let it go. Then, she could have recovered and made a sale. Look, I get it, it's expensive, but you don't have to act like a banshee. But no. She stuck with being rude. I'm sorry he said, she said, loudly.... THATS WHY WE ASK. That was it. I was done. She tried to recover saying, well it's $650, soooo.... Like we couldn't have afforded it anyway. This is the second time I've had a bad experience here, with that same woman. I gave it the benefit of a doubt, but she's just a rude jerk. The prices here are ridiculous. I could buy the onyx lamp online for about 250-450, but finding the specimen and supporting small business is the reason I don't. I won't be coming back here.

On one visit I had my 10 year old granddaughter with me and they treated her just the same. She tried on anything she wanted. Because of the success of vaccines and Paxlovid in slowing down the spread and reducing its impacts, I think some people believe Covid is finished rather than that it is now like flu strains. Anyway, the wait outside the store was short. I tend to shop more closely in the Home Goods section rather then in the clothing, unless there is something in particular I am looking for. They sometimes have surprising items for sale, such as the time we found our brand of decaf coffee at a great price. The variety of decaf available at warehouse stores can be pretty limited, but if you have a Kurig you are made in the shade. They must sell a lot more of it and make more profit. So i don't shop at TJ Maxx regularly but I like stopping in occasionally to see what they have at that particular moment. It helps me miss Zayre's less from when I went to the Broadway Shopping Center decades ago now.

This is run by a couple, who according to the owner Patrick (who was manning the store when we were there) they aren't artists themselves, but they seek out artists from all over. There is a wide selection of art from sun catchers made of wrapped colored stones, and paintings on wood to vegan leather purses and wood turned pens. We stopped here and purchased a painting my partner wanted and then returned to pick up my purse before returning to the shuttle bus. I just couldn't leave without buying it. The store features unique decor, jewelry, accessories and home items. I spent the most time looking at colorful local artwork, sniffing a variety of perfumes and eyeing up some lovely leather goods. While I didn't buy anything I certainly appreciated the friendly staff and the variety of whimsical an quality items for sale.
