Both providers were excellent. Good communications, flexibility where needed, and personal attention that went beyond the minimum to help me begin my recovery. I am now in my fourth week, and my recovery continues at a rapid pace...which I attribute largely to really good nursing and physical therapy assistance. In fact, the first visit by the PT NURSE just might have led in saving my life! She routinely checked blood pressure, and discovered it was precipitously low. She made sure, called the doctor, and that led to Emergency Room treatment that corrected an internal bleeding issue and allowed me to continue recovering. I have found Kindred HomeCare personnel --Erin, Angela (PT), Hannah and Jessica (nurses) to be professional, yet warm and friendly, and very effective. I commend them without reservation. Day 0 - my parent was being discharged and we needed to find options for long term acute care…read more There are really only two locations in town and we were already placed in the other by the case management at the hospital, however I wanted to check myself and also to find out options available to us. I am glad that I did. The first site was located in a hospital which is a great selling point. Landmark is in a smaller private hospital without all attached services, however it is literally 2-4 minutes for the two hospitals in town. I stopped in at 7 am and asked for a tour, bc making the right decision was weighing heavy on my heart. Surprisingly I was accommodated and I appreciated the welcoming spirit of the smployeea walking i for morning shift as well as the young lady who gave me the tour. So far....amazing! day 1 - transport was professional and easy. Admissions called to let me know what the room Number was and answer any further questions. Once my parent was over there we waited until they had him settled. Once unsent into the room, it was bright, airy and CLEAN! That can make you feel Better alone. But the staff were actively tending to him, cracking jokes and sizing up how much good trouble he was going to be :) but with love!!! He immediately had lunch, a comfy bed and the doctor and wound nurse stopped in to check and say hello within into 2-3 hours. I was also quite impressed with the dinner food!!!! I never wanted to taste his hospital food before, but I ate this plate Like I was at My grandmas :) they have a kitchen on site and someone in that kitchen ain't playing!! Dinner was black eyed peas, zucchini and seasoned baked pork chops, cornbread and a homemade Brownie!! I think they may know I was coming or writing up a Yelp review, but if this is everyday I know I made the right choice for our long term health needs. **++ I will make updates to see if the care is consistent.**++.

He loves the karaoke night, and the coffee/danish morning. He visits with other patients and the staff make sure he is well taken care of. They get mad at you for no reason. They will turn the light off and still take over an hour to change you.Some of the CNA AND NURSES ARE RUDE REALLY RUDE THEY TALK TO YOU IN A RUDE TONE AND HOLLER AT YOU.This is a nursing home most of the residents can not help themselves and need compassion that they are not getting.

Lack of trash cans-there was always trash on the floor. Crowded rooms that make getting around with a walker very difficult for patients. Rooms are shared and bathroom is shared by 2 rooms, so 4 people. Staff had some bright spots, but most seemed like they would rather be somewhere else. Lots of standing around at nurses station and on cell phones. If they had time to stand around, could have been cleaning up. Food seemed decent and fairly plentiful. I would not recommend this facility. Wish I had done my homework before placing my parent there. Admin staff was decent and responsive but overall not a great place.

This place is horrendous. Anyone that puts a family member in this facility should be charged with…read moreabuse. My husband was transported there after having a major surgery. Transport brought him in, made his bed and put him in it. He was not seen by anyone from the facility for well over an hour and a half. Was not given a call bell and not able to get out of bed. Approximately 2 hours after being there, another patient was placed in his room. Transport and a person who I assume was a nurse, discussed the other patient in front of us. Which led us to be concerned for my husband's safety. This concern was brought up to two individuals at the facility and they did nothing to help. After 4 hours of my husband being completely ignored ( food service did offer him a meal) I called his doctor as well as his insurance company to get him removed immediately. I chose to remove him myself and took him back to the hospital he was discharged from. I ended up bringing him home for a week before he was properly placed in a fantastic rehab facility. He spent 7 days at the new facility and is now home. So this incident happened 16-17 days ago. Yesterday Adult Protective Services showed up at my house because they got a report that I removed my husband from the facility against doctors orders. He never was even checked by a nurse let alone a doctor! I believe this report was made because I reported this place to my insurance company!

She never asked if he had a co-signer. She asked about his income. She then said she had someone signing a lease sitting in front of her could she have someone named Kim call me back because she's new. I got no calls back. This was 4 days ago. The LEAST they could have done was call back and advise what his credit needed to be OR ask of someone was willing to cosign; ANYTHING to try to help (referral, advice, more questions etc). We were only inquiring. My father is a Vietnam war vet and a retiree of the Long Island Railroad (30 years). Clearly these people want good credit only. No call back so now I'm left to assume they were being selective. I'd rather move him back North where I got calls back and kinder treatment. They probably don't care about one negative review anyway but here it is. Thanks for nothing.
